When searching for a legitimate business you should choose
an Internet home based business that
you like. You need to be comfortable with what you have to do and if you are
selling a product or service, you must feel that it is a good one, or no one is
going to believe you enough to buy it. Consider using the product or service yourself
so you will be knowledgeable and can speak with authority about it.
A large majority of people who search for an Internet home business
do so because they are unemployed and have exhausted all means of finding
another job. The other thing that you are probably thinking about is whether or
not you are going to get scammed. Even though the Internet is a great place to
make money, there are many people out there who want to do nothing more than
take your money and run. For this reason, you need to make sure that you
properly research each Internet based business opportunity that interests you.
For your information, there are millions of people around
the world who own and operate successful businesses. Some choose to operate
their company via an Internet home business, while others choose to operate an
offline business company. Although both methods of running a business are effective
in many ways, owning an Internet home business can be a lot easier to start,
build and maintain.
Make no mistake about it there are legitimate home business
opportunities available on the Internet. The law says they need to comply with
all the requirements needed in authorizing operations and transactions or they
will face legal problems for violating the rules imposed by state laws. There
are unscrupulous network marketing companies that give this business a bad
reputation. Simply do the proper research diligently and separate the good from
the bad.
I suggest searching for an Internet home business
opportunity and become an affiliate. Affiliate programs are considered the
ultimate legitimate home business opportunity. Its concept is simple; send a
customer to a company and get paid from the percentage of whatever amount that
customer earns from sales.
Do you remember what it was like in terms of fraud and
scammers, before the Internet came on the scene? Well, let me tell you, it was
the same as it is now, except the Internet made it more convenient and faster for
scammers to do their dirt. Crime and dishonest people have always existed and
will probably always be a part of society, but do not let that stop you from
pursuing your dream and passion of owning your own Internet home based business. Over time, you will know how to spot
the good opportunities from the bad. The best advice is to use your common
sense and ask hard questions about an opportunity before joining.

I was inspired by Mr. Bill Gates ever since I was a student learning Computers. But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet.
Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology.
I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. So I took over to the Internet as my primary business.

- HI,
I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business.
It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need.
