Internet Home Based Business-Ensure you do not Fail

After starting and growing an Internet home based business, it is essential to adopt strategies to ensure you do not fail.

Owners of home based business literally waste huge amounts of money every year because they do not understand marketing, especially on the Internet. A very large amount of this wasted money, time and effort is being spent on websites that have been developed, posted and then ignored. There are just too many websites that look as though they have not been updated in a very long time. More often than not, there are broken links, and missing information. The shame of it all is that these website owners are paying for services that produce absolutely nothing. This should be part of your business plan before you start your business.

Now is the time to own your own business:

Today everyone feels the negative effects of this failed economy. For example, in California the unemployment rate has risen to 10 percent, which is the highest since the last 6 decades.

What is it that prevents people from taking the first step in starting a business venture?

Plain and simple, it is a 4-letter word called FEAR. So many people fear starting a business on the Internet mostly because they do not have the training and are going into uncharted territory. They need to eliminate that fear, stop procrastinating and just go for it. The Internet is filled with FREE tutorials on computers, the Internet and many other areas of information technology. All you have to do is get busy and find them so you can start learning.

Stop worrying! It is not conducive to progress and productivity. When you worry, you drain energy from your body and negatively affect your problem solving abilities. Believe in yourself and know that you can do anything you put your mind to.

To make sure you do not fail because of a lack of resources:

You will need a state-of-the-art personal computer, a broadband Internet connection and a working knowledge of operating a computer and the Internet. Also, expect to work hard, be dedicated, self-disciplined, self-motivated and a never say quit attitude no matter what happens. Persistence is the keyword on the road to financial freedom while growing your Internet home based business which is your best alternative to unemployment and a failed worldwide economy. Do not wait for outsourced jobs to come back or jobs that pay a living wage to appear in large numbers.

Re: Who inspired you to start? Re: Who inspired you to start? - Hi Evan, I was inspired by Mr. Bill Gates ever since I was a student learning Computers. But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. So I took over to the Internet as my primary business. Regards,

Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need. Jeff
Re: What inspires you? Re: What inspires you? - Another inspiring thing is which I really likes "Most People Fail because, their dreams are small". Most people like to engage with something or teh other. If they can truly listen to their inner voice and work towards achieving it, then you can see "miracle in action". So, big changes happen, when you think BIG. If you cannot to think BIG, you cannot do BIG things too. Robert
