An Internet home based business is what you need to consider even if you have a job now. Recently there was a newspaper heading that read; rise in jobless claims signals bump in recovery. It can be bad news if you are one of the people who lost their job, and have nothing else to fall back on. It is good news when you look at it as an opportunity.

The reality is that most people may have a hard time finding another JOB, but they should not have much trouble finding another OPPORTUNITY.

If you are someone, or know someone, who needs a way out from the dead end trap of working for someone else, you or they need to take a close look at home based business opportunities on the Internet:

• Use Google search engine to find a business opportunity that fits you

• Research and evaluate any opportunity that interests you so you can sort out legitimate ones from a scam

• Get information from those who have already started a business to get it first-hand

• Contact the network marketing company that offers the opportunity and ask direct questions about their offer

Once you have decided on which business opportunity that is acceptable and comfortable for you, then you can start growing the business.

The resources needed include a state-of-the-art personal computer and a working knowledge of computers and the Internet. If you lack basic computer and Internet skills, you can find many free tutorials online that will be a tremendous help to you.

It is important to remember that you will be in a constant state of learning. The Internet is evolving at a very fast pace and you must keep up with changes and additions or your success with an online business will be limited. Also, you need to be self-disciplined and self-motivated. It is necessary for you to find training and information on program applications even though network marketing companies provide some training.

What are some benefits of running a home business opportunity?

• You get to spend quality time with your family

• You are your own boss and set your work schedule

• You are allowed income tax business deductions by the IRS

• You will not be working to make someone else rich

What is required in terms of working your business?

• You will probably work harder than you did with your previous job

• You will work long hours and will not be paid overtime or have paid vacations

• You must have a separate room in your home for your business office in order to claim IRS tax benefits

• You must have the support of your family in your business venture

Starting an Internet home based business is the best alternative to a job whether during tough economic times or in good times.

But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need. Jeff
