Starting a home based business--What you need to Know before You Start?
Have you been looking for a home business opportunity? Congratulations. You may not know it but with
the ever increasing and rapid expansion of the Internet, you will eventually
achieve the financial freedom you want by starting
a home based business.
Today, in the Information Technology world, those individuals
who understand and use the power of the Internet will be the principle of the
future. The Internet is not going to go away; it is evolving and expanding at
warp speed and it is would behoove you to use and benefit from this phenomenon.
You will discover that a home business is not for everyone.
It is better to make a determination as to whether or not it is the business
for you before you get involved.
Starting a business on the Internet from home has many
benefits you will not receive with a business in the real world. You do not
have to rent office space to conduct business and you can set your own work
schedule and spend quality time with your family. To ensure this happens, you
need to have a business plan in place. It will serve as your guide or a map to
get where you want to go. If you do not draft a plan, you will be drifting like
a ship without a rudder on the ocean.
Next, you need to research and check out home based business
statistics to see how well people are doing in the particular field you are
considering. More important, your
research should include getting as much information as you can about home
business opportunities offered by network marketing companies. In that way you
can separate the legitimate business opportunities from the many scams on the
Internet.
There are some disadvantages in operating a home business which
include working long hours and working harder than you did on your previous
regular job. Some other disadvantages are no paid vacations and sick leave, as
well as not generating income from 1 to 3 years.
Finally, the main resources need to start and succeed with a
home business on the Internet are; a state-of-the-art wireless laptop computer
(because it allows you to be mobile) with broad band Internet connection and at
least a basic working knowledge of computers and the Internet. You will learn
more as you grow because the Internet is constantly changing and evolving at a
very fast pace which means you must keep pace.
In addition you need self-discipline and motivation as well
as the determination and persistence to succeed.
When you are successful, you will realize that the rewards
and benefits far outweigh all of your hard work and dedication. Financial
freedom is the ultimate reward.
Now that you have sufficient information, you can make an
informed decision about starting a home
based business and whether or not it is a good fit for you.

- I am not sure what you mean by home-based and how my story can help but my home-based business is my web design business.
I can work from home and go out to meet my clients. These times (When I'm out) is the most 'dangerous', because if clients need some files or if something didn't get through email, I'll need to find the nearest internet hot spot (i bring my external hard drive everywhere) to service the client or come up with an excuse.
initially it was difficult, working from home and starting up. work was scarce but I knew it was only in the beginning. after 5 months, I have quite a constant flow of work but still the cheques are not that regular but its getting there.
I met other people who has started home-based business and they range from travel agents to company secretaries.

- Again. thank you. Well I am interested to become a home based entrepreneur. I heard that Internet marketing business is quite different from other field of home based businesses. I just want to learn how and what is the first thing I should learn about. i am willing to accept and learn those things and info you can share while also sharing my ideas and insights.

- Good advice Tanny, one can also use the same keywords and turn them around a bit so that the phrase is a bit different such as internet based home business, or home based internet business just as an example.
