We grow up in a society where everything is laid out for us. We become products of our environment. We know that if we want to have a chance at a ‘normal' life we have to do things in certain ways, if we want to get there. I see this as a rat race. One I decided not to join.

You see what happens; people give up on their dreams. They get stuck doing the same thing over and over again. They don't even see that there is a way out.

A way out of the rat race is to do what you want and fill your life with making your dreams come true. The freedom to live life on your terms and conditions and having the ability to decide for yourself; when to work and when to take that special vacation.

If you want to make it in this world, you have to open your eyes, look what is happening around you. The fact that you are reading this tells me that you have noticed what is happening and taking action. You have noticed that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. You also have noticed the life you are living, and the life you are not.

Maybe you are one of the million people who are tired and frustrated that regardless how hard you work or try to get ahead; you cannot afford that vacation, or pay down those credit card bills, or get the car of your dreams.

The only way out of this, is to start with yourself. Take action to educate yourself, arm yourself with knowledge and understanding, something that can NEVER be taken from you.

The only way to financial independence is to gain the necessary mind and skill sets to allow you to provide something of value to those around you who need help.

Gaining the skills and resources, the connections and opportunities, belief and focus will help you get there. To a point that you will be able to assist to solve the problems that people are facing in their lives. To become more valuable to the world and get to the level to provide more services to more people at a time, at this degree will your income explode and grow.

This is the beauty of the network marketing industry, (the concept at least). By learning some very basic skills like marketing and good communication, you can leverage yourself and help a lot of people by teaching them WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY LEARNED.

Did you ever know that the amount of money that one makes, is a direct reflection of your worth to society?

So here's the most valuable piece of advice I can possibly give you:

"Increase your value to society."

Taking a year out to try and start your own business is a great idea. Taking a year out after college is a well established option so I guess it doesn't prejudice your chances of getting a job should you wish to do so later on; it probably improves your chances if you've been getting valuable experience of managing a business and of course, if all goes well, you won't need to find out. Finding a technical person to work with - Hi Barbara, I would suggest tapping your network to see who knows who. It's amazing how small the world is. Your situation reminds me of many entrepreneurs who are afraid to go for venture capital because they feel the venture capitalists will take the idea and use it themselves or with another company. It takes a team to build a successful company and most engineers are just that - engineers. To make the business fly they would need to have their own vision as well as the experience of being a mother with infant / toddlers with strollers and the knowhow to successfully sell and market a product. This is a highly unlikely scenario and chances are if that person existed your product would already be on the market. I've always found that be telling people what I'm up to I've received far more help than harm.
Re: Specific Strategies To Raise PR Levels? - For me both as a user and as a marketing assistant, PR is very important. It's the basis. For example if I'm searching something on the Internet, and i open a website that has 2PR or lower, the chances to read it are decreasing.

Who are the online entrepreneurs? - Hi Shri - the definition is open to interpretation. My thought was are people unrealistic when they try to start up their own online business - is it easy to get started compared to other businesses? What are you chances of success?
