How To Cope With Shift Work – Eat For Energy!

If you're looking at ways to cope with shift work then the best advice that I can give you is to quite literally - Eat for Energy!

As shift workers fatigue is by far the Number One complaint because of the crazy and irregular hours that we work. Most shift workers live a life of feeling totally exhausted and zapped of energy 24/7.

Sounding familiar? Well the good news is that it doesn't have to be that way and you can certainly learn how to beat fatigue.

Is it easy? No. Will it require a lot of hard work on your part? Absolutely.

You see whenever we pull up at a service station to fill up our car we always ensure that we're using high quality, high performance fuel. I'm sure you would agree that it would be down right stupid to fill it up with contaminated energy zapping fuel.

So why is it that we don't do this to our cars, but we do it to our bodies - every single day?

Quite possibly because most people tend to forget that there is only one reason and one reason alone, why we must eat.

And this is to give our bodies fuel so that it can function properly on a day to day basis. Because just like your motor car - it will not run properly if you give it polluted fuel.

The human body is an amazing machine - it puts up with a lot of neglect and abuse but it will only do this for so long, until symptoms of ill health start to appear. Things like constant fatigue, migraines, colds and flu, allergies, asthma, weight gain, depression and the list goes on.

Most of these illnesses didn't even exist hundreds of years ago because people ate raw foods. They didn't live on processed foods that are completely void of essential nutrients.

So if you really want to know how to cope with shift work then you're going to have to take your health seriously and start to fill your body up with high quality - high octane fuel. In other words, first class nutrition.

It means throwing away the so called 'Energy Drinks'; stop eating junk food; stop living on take away food and get back to eating 80% raw foods. Because when you begin to give your body raw foods it will begin to thrive. Your skin will improve, your eyes will sparkle and you will have more energy than you care to remember.

The Ontario government is doing a great deal since passing the Green Energy Act. This is where the government is buy the energy you produce. 80 cents for kwh. A lot of people in Ontario are putting up solar panels on their roofs, and feeding back the grid green energy.
