More Reasons Online Webinars Are Events Worth Putting on Your Calendar

One factor that drives the number of participants for a live webinar is the entertainment factor but there are other elements that drive participation as well.

First of all, they keep peoples attention long enough to get your point across. Many people have products and services that do not easily break down into a fifteen second commercial. Or a quick glance at a newspaper ad. If you are selling products, it is important to get the attention of your customer and keep it long enough to get a complicated idea across to make a sale.
Another reason why webinars are so impressive is that webinars are interactive. You get immediate feedback. For example, the first thing I do when I start a webinar is to ask my listeners if they can hear me. I will get immediate responses with people telling me that they can hear me just fine. I can ask for other feedback just as easily. So you can ask for immediate feedback, which is extremely helpful because you can target your material accordingly if needed.
One of the best features of a webinar is the ability to take a poll. In your webinar software, there should be a feature that allows you to generate a question and send it to your participants. This is a great way to increase the interaction for your audience. You can even see how many people took the poll compared to who is on the webinar. This way, if you know that 49% completed the poll you can encourage the remaining 51% to complete it as well. This dramatically increases the amount of people that complete your poll. Once you close the poll out you can display the final results to everyone. It is all done in real time.
Since my business is based on selling information products online, when I conduct a webinar I ask my customers what their challenges are. Some of the responses I get on my live webinar are difficulty in understanding technology, no good ideas, the inability to find the time and no step-by-step game plan. This question allows me to make sure I cover the challenges that my participants are having so that the webinar is more relevant to them. I then know where my audience is at and can adjust accordingly.
A webinar is one of the best events you can conduct. I can see the major difference that it has made in my personal business and I believe if you schedule a live webinar for your business it will make a difference also.

iPhone 3G craze - Nope not me! iPhone 3G craze - Nope not me! - I bought the original when it came out - still love it (on most days). The Calendar is my best friend. I find it lack sound "loudness" - when it rings as well as the speech that comes through. Other than that I find it is a great conversation starter at Networking events and if I notice someone else with one we get great rapport built through ownership of this device. OK FINE! I'm quite sold on this device even though it lacks what others mobile phones can do.
