Use Live Webinars For The Most Effective Presentations

Article Overview: There are four ways you can format any live webinars that you host. Today I will focus on the first way, which is the free webinar for prospects that you offer to sell your product offering. The idea behind this format is to give the participants value in the first sixty minutes so that they will be willing to buy from you in the final ten to fifteen minutes when you tell them about your product offering. You do this by explaining how to do whatever your topic is about and then selling them the step-by-step strategies and techniques behind how to do it.

There are four ways you can format any live webinarsthat you host. Today I will focus on the first way, which is the free webinar for prospects that you offer to sell your product offering. The idea behind this format is to give the participants value in the first sixty minutes so that they will be willing to buy from you in the final ten to fifteen minutes when you tell them about your product offering. You do this by explaining how to do whatever your topic is about and then selling them the step-by-step strategies and techniques behind how to do it. For example, I can tell you what to do when you run a webinar, but I can sell you the nitty-gritty details on how to run a webinar. Do you see what I am saying there? I can tell you what to do when it comes to losing weight. I can cover the big picture. I can sell you the details and specifics, the step-by-step, on how to lose that weight more effectively.

You want to give people information. Let them know what they should do to get what they want, but also offer them a way to get it faster and easier through the product or service you sell. This works consistently. You cover the basics, but what you sell them helps them to implement those basics in a step-by-step format. You may tell them what to do, but what you sell will show them how to do it quicker and more effectively. This is a great way to sell software or how-to information products.

When conducting live webinars, keep in mind you can promote any type of product that you want, even if you are an affiliate. An affiliate is someone who earns a commission for referring others to another product. If you want to generate more commissions, one way is to actually teach people how to use the program they are going to buy through your affiliate link. You can use another approach where you show them the results you got with the program and promote the link to buy the program.

I can point to a good example of this in my own business in the form of a product launch formula sold by another company that I bought and used for my business. This formula really helped my business in a big way. What I would do to promote an affiliate product is show how I got the results, how effective they were and include a link to my affiliate product towards the end of the live webinar so that I can make money if they buy it. This is very effective because you have a product that you believe in, experienced results with and others will be attracted to the belief that you are able to convey because of it. This really works well with software programs.

I have found this model of selling by offering content for the majority of the webinar and selling briefly at the end to be very effective. In future articles, I will outline the other three methods for utilizing webinars.

No need to book rooms, AV equipment, snacks etc. etc. You can also record the conference to be replayed at a later time. So do a conference once and make it available on your site. does anyone use a similar tool (gotomeeting or webex) in other creative ways?

One book that comes to mind that covers it in an overall approach is "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey. He addresses our inner life and the way it can change our effectiveness home and at work. There are corporations who have taken this model and effectively molded their business around it.
