Home Based MLM Business – Why do 97% of people fail?

The figures are quoted constantly “97% of people who undertake to work from home in the home based MLM business will fail within three months of joining.“

Here is what I believe to be the major reason why this statement is true. Most people join a home based MLM business because they are lured by the promises of large potential income and the lifestyle freedom an online business offers. They see the opportunity to work from home as a way of life that will fulfill their dreams. And it has the potential to do this. But they approach their business with the mentality of “Well, I hope this works out” - and with that philosophy - it never will. This is not the mindset of an entrepreneur. These 97 per centers are the opportunity seekers who dabble in every new business opportunity that comes along hoping this will be the one to lead them to riches. It never does and it's because they have not got what it takes to succeed – an entrepreneurial mindset. If you want to be successful and make money from online business you must do everything in your power to develop an entrepreneurial mindset. This is the most important aspect of your personal development and will be part of your on-going education.

Running your own business has many challenges, the least of them being frustration and overwhelm - you will be continually tested on your tenacity, determination and your persistence as you develop an entrepreneurial mindset. You will have to battle adversity and find solutions to your problems. You will have to have the courage of your convictions and make decisions on your own and sometimes you will get it wrong. That doesn't matter to the true entrepreneur - they just pick themselves up, dust themselves off and start all over again.

If you are unable to understand this and develop an entrepreneurial mindset you won't succeed. It is too easy to quit and start believing in all your made up excuses and move on to the next best opportunity that is going to make your rich! You have to develop the attributes that will set you apart and prevent you from being a 97% statistic.

You will get knocked back continually and every entrepreneur experiences this on a regular basis. But the difference between the 97% and the 3% is a true entrepreneur will see it as just a small detour in his plan to succeed and the opportunity seeker will blame everything else for his failure and give up.

It is interesting to note there are leaders in even some of the best MLM companies who refuse to believe you need to have this mindset and will try to convince you otherwise. Be very aware of joining any business with these misinformed ideas. You might find they refuse to discuss it because they want people to continue to join their opportunity on the premise of the more people you target the more hits you will get.

Everyone can succeed in the internet marketing industry and make money from online business if you are willing and prepared to be coached. Anyone can be very successful and join the 3% who are either living the life of their dreams or on their way to it. Anything is possible if you have the right mindset to plan your journey, set your sails high, plan your course, bring everything on board you need and develop an entrepreneurial mindset to guide you through stormy waters.
