How Important is Staying Power in your home based online business?

I read an article this morning about the importance of Staying Power -it related to the major fashion event that takes place in Auckland every year at the same time - Air NZ Fashion Week. The article profiled one of our most successful labels Zambesi, run by Elizabeth and Neville Findlay - Zambesi has not only been around for 30 years, but during this time has managed to expand and maintain a thriving business in an industry that is as fickle as the weather.

According to industry expertise one of the reasons for this could be that the label doesn't change to accommodate fashion trends or seasons, but rather, Zambesi's design ethos tends to be more evolutionary, with one collection seeming to almost flow into the other, creating their basic aesthetic signature. To survive in the fashion industry for thirty years is no mean feat.

As I read of their success I was made acutely aware of the parallels of this innovative fashion label and the home based internet business industry . The most important aspect of any business, be it traditional or internet based is staying power. The principles that the doyennes in the fashion industry apply to their industry on a day to day basis are really no different to those that the veterans in the internet marketing business still pursue today. It doesn't matter what industry you work in, it's all about the the way you maintain and sustain the direction you apply to your business.

When you work in the home based industry as a network marketer, there is one thing you must never do, and that is under-estimate the significance of staying power. Anyone who has succeeded in the field of network marketing will tell you, at the end of the day, it is the magic element of staying power that will drive you towards your final destination. Staying power will keep you focused, motivated and consistent in your endeavours. But more importantly, staying power will be the one major attribute you will need to covet if you want to reach the pinnacle in the home based business industry. It has been proven time and time again - without staying power you will end up as one of the 97% who fail to reach their goals in this very competitive industry.

So, if you are looking for a home based business that offers prestige, stability, incredible earning potential and the immense satisfaction that comes with helping others in the quest to achieve their goals, internet marketing could be for you. But, remember without the magic element of staying power you will fall by the wayside and and become another statistic.

Time spent - I log into this site at least once (sometimes twice) for about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes and that's at least 6 days a week. I work a full time job and also work independently, running a home based business and also assist my husband with his home based business...I also have 2 kids under the age of 14 and one 20 year old, so i'm generally very busy and don't have a ton of time to be here more than that. I believe too much time spent on the internet in general is not healthy and had to cut back on my childrens time online, as one saturday when I was especially busy, I realized they had been on for 6 hours straight! so now I only allow each of them to get 2 hours a day.
Insurance for Home Based Business? - Apparently homeowners insurance and liability insurance may not be enough to cover your at home based business. Especially if you are running the business out of a detached garage or other dwelling on your property. Does anyone have another type of business insurance for their home based business or know anything about this?
Re: How To Pick Keywords To Rank For - Good advice Tanny, one can also use the same keywords and turn them around a bit so that the phrase is a bit different such as internet based home business, or home based internet business just as an example. MichelleJ
