Best Home-base Business For Mothers I

As babies grow, they demand more attention from parents, particularly from mothers. Home-based business was not a possibility in the past, the time when mothers were full-time devoted parent to their tots.

Today, having a home business does not deprive tots the love and care they so need from their mothers, who are able to juggle from one task to another. Depending on the nature of the home business, mothers can devote part-time to their business and full time to their beloved babies.

Some home-based businesses require small startup capital; while others need higher. Also, the home business can be small to medium type. If you are a first timer and your child still small, many experts recommend choosing small business.

The following home business range from small to medium scale:

1. Making brooches. Brooches are creative. Making them requires good artistic skills. Besides being skillful, you also need to be imaginative and come up with designs that are original and unique.

You can make brooches during the time your baby sleeps and you have nothing else-besides reading-to spend time with. Some start making brooches as a hobby. By the time they have created less than a hundred, they sell them to clients, whom are usually neighbors, friends, colleagues and relatives.

2. Real estate broker. Whether it is for a home-based business or for a position in real estate corporations, being a broker is a challenge. You cannot be called a real estate broker unless you have a license.

Getting a license is your primary concern. Once you become a real estate broker, there is almost nothing that you are unable to do with real estate business. This home business does not require high startup capital.

But you really need to invest in resources that can help you understand the four corners of real estate industry and how to zero in on your licensure exam. The industry of real estate is growing as commercial buildings and infrastructures are part of the plans of every State in progress.

3. Cheese-making. If your child can walk, you may consider joining food business, a type of business that has lesser chances at failure, when run properly. It also is among the businesses that have more restrictions.

Cheese is food that most Americans adore. Whether this is for full time or part-time, cheese-making requires permits such as for health and sanitation. You need to have a certified kitchen.

Cheese-making home-based business needs a semi-large amount for startup capital. Besides spending for your kitchen certification, you need to invest on equipment to make cheese.

Home businesses need a good marketing plan. It is the backbone of every business no matter if it is home-based or commercial space-based. If your motherhood situation restricts your time in spending with your business, you need to choose marketing strategies that are easy to implement, yet the impact is great.

Also, you can rely much on your family, friends, colleagues and neighbors to start the word of the mouth tactic. Of course, you need to impress them first with your niche.

A new study based on four years of data from men and women in a training program for microenterprises finds that they come out the same in quality scores. "However, women scored significantly better on the presentation of their plan to judges," conclude the study's authors, Ronald G. Cook, Paul Belliveau, and Christine Lentz of Rider University, in a paper presented at a recent meeting of the Small Business Institute. [/quote:ka7lg35i] What do you guys think?
