With good quality leads, your business has greater chances of increasing profits. A good lead can reduce your advertising costs, and enhance your marketing efficiency. If you have sales agents, you may observe that they will be motivated to do their job with good leads.

Generating good leads for free is not difficult. The information provided is not even secret. In fact, when you do a search on it on the web, you will be presented with thousands of resources helping you get good quality leads. The top most of them include:

1. Forum marketing. The online forums are a great virtual venue to produce leads. There are forum sites on every topic you may think of. Hence, no matter what niche you have, you can use the forum to give you 10 to 15 leads each day.

Search for forum sites that discuss your niche. Become a member and start listening. Rather than butt in and introduce your products and services, observe the flow of discussion. Know the needs of the members, and notice the comments and feedbacks they may provide about a certain product or service.

Since it will take time before you present your product, engage in more forums. Sow the seeds and wait for the right timing for harvest, so goes an old saying. Through keen observation, identify who is influencing or driving the discussion.

Learn more about that individual, product or service, and do a thorough research on that subject. With right timing, introduce yourself as an interested member. It is important to resist yourself from introducing your product.

Instead, engage in their discussion and start to establish good relationships with them. If you know the strengths and weaknesses of the product or service of your competitor, it would be best. Work your best that where they lack, you succeed.

Only when you believe you have earned the respect and trust of your contacts should you little by little introduce your own. Be ready with their reactions, which are varied. The important thing is to get good quality leads from every community. Of course, you must give your best shot.

2. Qualify your prospects with your sales copy. You can design an ad on your site and prompts a call for action. You can even tell them that a sales representative will contact them immediately. This way, you separate people who are interested in free stuffs from serious buyers.

3. Host an event, whether a product presentation meeting in a hotel or a webinar using the internet, invite your visitors and prospects to RSVP to your event. It is best if the event you are hosting is free. Design your ad that when they RSVP to the event, your page is able to capture the good quality leads.

4. Write and publish white papers. White papers are authoritative reports that discuss issues and the means to solve them. The purpose of white paper is to educate the readers and help them make an important decision.

In marketing, white paper is becoming popular among online businessmen as far as yielding good quality leads is concerned. They use white paper to explain in details the reasons why a certain product or service is the solution to the issue raised at the onset of the white paper article.

I've also used PR Leads (paid program) which got me into the New York Times and Forbes. I haven't done much with online press releases - from what I hear they can help you with your SEO but they don't get much mainstream media attention.
