Five Best Offline Advertising Techniques

With the advent of Internet and Communication Technology, many businesses concentrate their advertising techniques to online marketing or to the media. The internet offers advertising services in a 24-hour non-stop period. It covers the widest audience because it sees no limits and knows no boundaries.

However, offline advertising techniques are as important and effective as well. In fact, most businessmen views offline advertising techniques to have more advantages because they offer personal touch. They can also provide the opportunity to establish rapport with potential customers.

Business Cards. Business men and employee alike see to it that they have their business cards are updated constantly. Business cards are effective method to inform people of the nature of your company which includes the products and services you are offering.

It contains the necessary contact details to make you accessible. Some business cards use slogan or motto to convey to people an important message. There are also cards that use colored images and creative design to attract the clients more.

Because they are handy, portable, cost-efficient and easy to distribute, the use of business card is among the effective advertising techniques used even in our era when technology is prevalent and the trend.

2. Stickers. Public transportations such as public utility bus and cabs are great carriers of advertising techniques. Stick on mini-posters and mini-streamers are placed at the top back and top front of the cab, or the medium to large size of advertising posters inside the bus or train.

There are even car and automobile accessories that promote a certain brand. For example, car sun shields bear the logo of Ford or Toyota along with their slogan.

3. Vehicles. Have you seen a bus whose body design shows the face of a celebrity together with the product he or she is endorsing? How about a cab that has the slogan and logo of a certain brand? In America, there are many industries that use vehicles to promote their brand. They may be expensive, but they are effective.

However, a cost-efficient version of this is to use magnets that bear the company logo or websites on your car. You can also customize your plate holder or window tint to bear the logo of your business or your business domain. The idea is to be more creative and resourceful in promoting your business.

4. Flyers. They are cheap to print especially if there are not many colors on it. However, as among the offline advertising techniques, it is recommended to use colored print. Colored flyers attract easily the public.

If you choose to use photo or image on it, ensure that it complements the business or the message you want to convey to the public. They are also easy to distribute among the passersby.

5. Freebies. Customized keychain, pen holders, dog tag, and bar pins are effective advertising techniques. Further, it creates trust, builds the company credibility and establishes rapport with customers. It can also gain new clients through the word of mouth of existing clients. You can put these items at the main door of your office or at your desk.

Re: Bad SEO techniques? Re: Bad SEO techniques? - There are few more techniques which also known as the Bad SEO Techniques or Black Hat SEO Techniques. Such as: - Relying on keyword metatags - Purchase Links (From Spamming or blacklisted sites or doing purchase links on high level for site marketing) - Horde Page Rank: This is one of my favorites, because it's one that most webmasters don't understand yet. This is because it changed over the past year or two. The concept people have in their mind is that page rank is a key part of site rankings and linking to other sites "leaks page rank" from your site. However, the world has changed. - Swap Links: Another oldie, but not goodie. Search engines want links to represent endorsements. Swapped links represent barter, and they are trivial to detect. Don't swap links for the purpose of building page rank. It's a waste of your time - Implement duplicate content - Use Session IDs on your URLs - Use lots of Javascript - Implement your site in Flash

I have one question, though. How would one implement Session IDs for a URL, and what benefit would come from doing so?

The search engines don't pay much attention to keyword metatags, and using javascript/flash just means the search engines can't "read" it (so if your menu is javascript, for instance, the search engine won't see any keywords you might have in there.)
