Home-based Business Idea: Children’s Transportation Services

Starting a home-based business providing transportation services to children is a lucrative concept as many parents today have a widespread problem meeting the schedule of their young ones. As a child starts going to daycare, his needs increase.

Along with these needs are accompanying activities particularly that they start connecting to the world. Parents need to send their children to and from daycare, school, after-school activities, appointments, babysitter's place, and to other destinations such as camping or retreat.

Parents before they entrust their child to your care are cautious about their child's safety. So if providing transportation services to children is an attractive home-based business, you have to work on its set up. Business licenses and other necessary permits are the first things you need to secure.

Whether you will be the one driving the van to provide the transportation services to children or hire a driver, you may need to have not only a driver's license, but clearances from the authorities to clarify a criminal background. In addition, you or your driver must have a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate and or Red Cross First Aid Certificate in case of emergency.

Getting the necessary insurance is very important to protect you and your business against possible lawsuits. The good insurance policies are bodily injury, property damage and comprehensive. Insurances are among the items that your clients are eager to know.

When you have completed the requirements for your children's transportation home-based business, it is time to specify on your niche. There are two types of clients you can serve-able-bodied children or special children.

Choosing your niche has an impact on the type of vehicle you should use. Children who are normal and do not need special care and attention may not need any specific services. Hence, your primary concern is to select the vehicle that has optimal benefits when it comes to the welfare, comfort and safety of your clients.

However, if you would like to serve special children you may need specific features on your vehicles. For example, your vehicle should be able to accommodate and transport wheelchairs. There should be a space for wheelchairs and there should be enough space for your clients to sit. Safety and comfort are a necessity.

Part of your niche is to specify the age, and geographic locations of your potential clients. You can focus on children below 10 years old or you can combine children from four to 12 years old. You can also cater to middle school or high school students. Establishing the hours of your operation may help you select your niche. Setting your fees should not be very hard as you categorize your services. But if you are unsure of this, you have to consider your resources such as fuel, the wear and tear of your vehicle and the destinations and locations of your clients. There are also some helpful resources on the internet to help you make your fee structure.

Plan the right marketing strategies for your home-based business. You can contact your community leader or the contact persons of community clubs and organizations for referrals. You can also directly visit nearby schools and daycare units and ask the administration to allow you to leave flyers about your children's transportation business.

Magnetic Ads - Biz Idea Magnetic Ads - Biz Idea - Attn Young Entrepreneurs looking for a Business Idea. This came to me while sitting in Traffic for about 1 hour while looking and laughing at ridiculous bumper stickers. Note: this idea is rough but will help get the idea-momentum going. Idea: Sell advertising on the back of cars in the form of reusable magnetic signs (about the length of 2 or 3 bumper stickers) Most people shouldn't have reservations to participating if they get a cut of the monthly fee you charge the company advertising and it doesn't hurt their car. An example of a Magnetic Ad: Geico: I saved 15% on my Car Insurance. Call 1-800-U-SAVE-15 You don't have to pay the cost associated with creating the Magnetic Ad because you will advise the company that this belongs to them and you can get them in touch with someone who created reusable magnets. So your basically managing two sides: 1. Company's that want to advertise 2. People in your neighborhood (to start) who will put the ads on their car. Bigger cars can have more than one ad. Happy Money Making!
