Home-based Business Idea: Painting

Painting is among the finishing tasks of construction and decoration of anything that requires creativity and beauty. As a home-based business, it is among the category that has a low startup capital. It is also the business often mistaken to have little profitability.

Painting job involves interior and exterior. Among the places that need painting task are the offices, apartments and homes. These places are often painted by a painting shop that has a contract with the rental agent or the management unit. The charges for their service are comparably higher than most home-based painters.

Securing contracts with these rental agencies and real estate management would prove lucrative as these sectors can provide a stable source of work. Many real estate agents are asked for a person whom they could recommend to do a painting job.

Another group of clients are the private homeowners and small office building owners. These are people who would rather employ the services of professionals than do the painting work themselves. They also require just one thing-to do the job properly.

To make your home-based business operational, you may need few basic things. For your tools, you can buy the ones which you cannot rent such as brushes, rollers, and your van. You will need your van in transporting equipment like a ladder and scaffolding, the ones which you can rent. Computer and broadband, as well as telephone and office table are among the equipment you will need for your home office.

To make your business start earning, you need to have clients. Your prospects will not know of your business unless you start promoting it. As mentioned earlier, it is a wise idea to contact real estate managers and home owner association officers for referrals and tasks.

When you approach these people, it is wise to be ready with your business card. You can also distribute flyers to your local chamber of commerce, community organizations and clubs, real estate agencies and home owners association.

Advertising your services on the local classified ads is helpful as many private people rely on these tools to search for freelance and home-based business providing services. You can also use vinyl letters or stickers which you can stick to promote your business on your car or van.

Perhaps, the best method of business promotion is through the word of mouth which your family, friends and officemates can initiate. Along with their referrals, they can also be among your first 50 clients.

By promoting your business online, your chances for closing deals are higher, particularly when you employ optimization services. There are sites that allow members to create website for free. You can also hire someone to design your site for you or a web-hosting company for your business domain.

Taking advantage of the free services on the internet such as online classified ads can help your business. Other marketing techniques involve using the social media network as your platform. If you want you can make this painting business part-time for a start. Then as it progresses, you can decide on making it full time.

Magnetic Ads - Biz Idea Magnetic Ads - Biz Idea - Attn Young Entrepreneurs looking for a Business Idea. This came to me while sitting in Traffic for about 1 hour while looking and laughing at ridiculous bumper stickers. Note: this idea is rough but will help get the idea-momentum going. Idea: Sell advertising on the back of cars in the form of reusable magnetic signs (about the length of 2 or 3 bumper stickers) Most people shouldn't have reservations to participating if they get a cut of the monthly fee you charge the company advertising and it doesn't hurt their car. An example of a Magnetic Ad: Geico: I saved 15% on my Car Insurance. Call 1-800-U-SAVE-15 You don't have to pay the cost associated with creating the Magnetic Ad because you will advise the company that this belongs to them and you can get them in touch with someone who created reusable magnets. So your basically managing two sides: 1. Company's that want to advertise 2. People in your neighborhood (to start) who will put the ads on their car. Bigger cars can have more than one ad. Happy Money Making!
