The upholstery deserves a cleaner's attention, and can thus give evidence that a home-based business for such service is valuable. In most cleaning services, the business has specific niche. It can be a carpet cleaning, window washing, parking lot cleaning or laundry service.

If there is a business that offers all types of cleaning services, it would be more lucrative. However, many clients are not inclined to employ its services because it does not focus and specialize on one cleaning objective. Thus, their expertise is questionable to many clients even when the doubt is groundless.

What others do is psychological. They advertise one major task and add on another cleaning task for free. For example, for your home-based business, you can specialize in upholstery cleaning, but as an additional service, offer to clean their cobwebs for free.

Because of the tough competition, many business owners resort to such marketing strategy in order to stand out from the rest. Of course, even when you offer dual services for the price of one, it does not mean that you have to take the tasks lightly.

Cleaning is a serious endeavor. More clients will seek for your services if you have established your reputation well. Just like in all businesses, the marketing plan is its soul. Without it, your business will not flourish.

In upholstery cleaning, your market can be the homeowners and business owners. Corporate and legal offices have upholstered furniture to offer reception to their visitors and clients. Even government payment centers, rural and commercial banks use upholstery for their furniture.

For best income achievement, offer your upholstery cleaning services to both markets. You can submit a business proposal to establishment and office managers, building owners or administrators. Offer free one-time upholstery cleaning service to entice them to sign a contract with you.

Do the same to residential owners, but instead of a formal business proposal, you can hand them a copy of your flyer. Your flyers should contain all the information that your clients would like to know. This includes your business name, contact number and person, and the type of service you will offer-upholstery cleaning.

Offer to do additional cleaning service or discount to your clients. Also, include in your flyer why your clients should hire you. You can state the benefits of your home-based business or you can inform them that you use organic cleaning chemicals to preserve their precious furniture while killing the germs.

The upholstery is a sensitive material. Not all chemicals are ideal to use in cleaning it. The good thing about it is that learning how to clean the upholstery is not difficult. It does not even require a special education or skill.

The internet has a virtual library in the form of databases, which contain useful information such as how to clean upholstered furniture suing which best cleaning solution. Although the cleaning tasks are not hard to do, many homeowners simply do not have the time to do the cleaning themselves.

They are more apt to hiring professionals to clean their assets. From upholstery cleaning, you can expand your home-based business and add other cleaning services. You can combine such services to create promos that are attractive to your clients.
