Home-based Business Idea: Yoga Instructor

If you have been teaching Yoga for several years, you may want to start your own home-based business. Being in the industry must have earned you several contacts or clients whom may be your followers. While putting up your own yoga business has many difficulties, but given the right business plan and attitude, your business will surely prosper.

People practice yoga for several reasons. One of them is relieving stress and tension. Choosing the place to hold your yoga lessons can be a real challenge. You can choose a rental space in a bedroom community but the type of clientele you would like to attract is few.

A space next to a thoroughfare may be less expensive, but it could also be noisy. If you want to open a yoga studio at home, you may have to consider your location and the type of neighbors you have. Consider the choice of your potential clients.

They may want to go to a yoga studio where they can relax. The place must have a relaxing atmosphere and it must be conducive to yoga practice. If you want to be sure on this, check out the successful yoga studios in your neighborhood. Determine the kind of location these studios are situated.

If you can find promising studios in urban areas where singles and childless married couples frequent, you can target this area in looking for a rental space. However, if your home or apartment is at the heart of your community, you can devote an area within for your yoga home-based business.

When you are set with your studio, you need to define your niche. If you have been teaching yoga in a health club and gym, you must have established your reputation as a yoga instructor. However, if you are still new and would like to start your own followers, you can decide on the kind of reputation you would like to build.

Among the niches that you can choose for your yoga business are physical fitness, yoga therapy, spiritual yoga, pre-natal and post-natal yoga, yoga for kids, yoga for couples, yoga for seniors, corporate yoga, private yoga lessons and yoga workshops and retreats.

Your yoga niche has an impact on your business plan, which is your next task. Your business plan contains your expenditures and financial goal. How you achieve such goals depend on your marketing plan. Popular marketing strategies include advertisement and promotion, dissemination of business cards, print ads and brochures.

Setting the fees for your yoga classes is a critical and difficult task. You can create programs based on the schedule, frequency and length of classes, and from that you can set the charges. You can also check the local yoga studios and compare their fees.

Secure liability insurance for the protection of your home-based business, yourself and your yoga students against possible lawsuits. Ensure that the insurance coverage is enough to cover even the ugliest lawsuit.

You can make a website for your yoga home-based business. You can attract a lot of clients especially when the interface of your site is very friendly, and you provide useful resources such as articles, yoga schedule of your clients and some events.

Magnetic Ads - Biz Idea Magnetic Ads - Biz Idea - Attn Young Entrepreneurs looking for a Business Idea. This came to me while sitting in Traffic for about 1 hour while looking and laughing at ridiculous bumper stickers. Note: this idea is rough but will help get the idea-momentum going. Idea: Sell advertising on the back of cars in the form of reusable magnetic signs (about the length of 2 or 3 bumper stickers) Most people shouldn't have reservations to participating if they get a cut of the monthly fee you charge the company advertising and it doesn't hurt their car. An example of a Magnetic Ad: Geico: I saved 15% on my Car Insurance. Call 1-800-U-SAVE-15 You don't have to pay the cost associated with creating the Magnetic Ad because you will advise the company that this belongs to them and you can get them in touch with someone who created reusable magnets. So your basically managing two sides: 1. Company's that want to advertise 2. People in your neighborhood (to start) who will put the ads on their car. Bigger cars can have more than one ad. Happy Money Making!
