Home-based Business Ideas for 2010 I

Home-based business is the newest trend whether full time or part time. Its rewards are beyond financial. Most businessmen who engage in entrepreneurship vowed to have achieved self-fulfillment. Others who find themselves looking for additional source of income found their answers in home business.

No matter what motivates a person to run a business, earning money from something that starts as a hobby or interest is a promising occupation. Here are top twenty ideas for home-based business.

1. Yoga Instructor. Yoga is becoming popular each day. Besides being an effective exercise in shedding off unwanted fats, it is often resorted to by people who want to relax their body and mind. Yoga can relieve tension in the muscles and mental anxieties.

To start with your own yoga business, it is important that you have established your own followers. This means to say, that you have somehow worked as a yoga instructor in a clinic or health gym. Having worked as such enables you to build up your reputation that even when you start a yoga home-based business, your followers are still there with you.

2. Personal Trainer. Celebrities and well-to-do people need professional help when it comes to their exercise regimen. Although they have the desire to do their exercise, they feel lazy at times. If you want to be successful being a personal trainer, your character and attitude must be fitting and called for.

Depending on your niche, you may need to invest in few exercise gear such as treadmill, dumb bells, mat, bench and more. However, there are also times when your services are needed as home service, in which case, you are not obliged to carry bulky exercise equipment.

3. Legal Transcription. Depending on your niche, you may choose to transcribe medical, legal and technical files. However, you may need to meet certain requirements to establish your clientele. Besides having related experience, clients may also require you to have training or certification in related field.

For example, if your niche is medical transcription, you should have relevant or certificate in medical field. This is to make the transcription easy and accurate as there are terminologies and jargons that are not common to lay men.

4. Senior Care Service. Seniors are a good market for home-based business. There are several niches that you can choose in providing care services to the elderly. While in the previous years, the old folks are confined in senior centers; today, more elderly individuals prefer to stay at their house and hire professional help to tend to them.

Senior care services may include companionship in going to beauty and spa salons, health clinics and buying groceries.

5. Gift Basket. Gift baskets are also a lucrative concept for home-based business. Entrepreneurs who prepare gift baskets have many creative ideas for every day occasions. You do not need holidays to buy gift baskets from stores and shops. Gift baskets are a nice idea for gifts whether the recipients are men, women, children, lovers and teens.
