Home-based Business Opportunity: Why Should You Choose Beeswax Candles
There are three unique features of beeswax candle to make them your niche for a home-based business. First, its scent is naturally honey. The fragrance of honey is hard to mimic by any scented oils.
But with it, it is such not an effort on your part, thanks to the industrious working honeybees. These working honeybees visited at least 2 million flowers in order to make one pound of honey. For the beeswax to produce, 8 and half pounds must be prepared.
Beeswaxes are excreted by working bees from the lower left of their abdomen. They use it for construction of beehive, storage of honey-thus it smells lusciously of it-and for the residence of their queen.
Second, because it is a natural substance, it does not give off harmful chemicals. Its burning is clean, no black soot that can make furniture or anything that makes a contact with the wick black when put off.
Moreover, it is not harmful to your health or to the health of your clients and their loved ones. The American Lung Association revealed that paraffin candles, when burned emit 11 toxins such as mercury, lead and benzene, all harmful to the respiratory system and to the environment.
Third, beeswax candles are economical than paraffin candles. Just an inch of its diameter can provide illumination for an hour. Although admittedly, beeswax does not come cheap when you buy it as raw, but its longer burning time overrides that trait.
Depending on the shapes and styles of candles you would prepare, sometimes, melting is not required. For example, taper candles are very attractive to sell. The steps of making them are devoid of melting. It saves fuel or electric energy used in melting wax.
Taper candles from beeswax make a good activity for kids. So if you have children, they can participate in your candle-making session. Not only do you impart an important skill to them; but you are also spending quality time with your loved ones.
As part of your home-based business, you can propose this activity to elementary schools as part of their art class. You can also handle classes for adults who wish to join many who found financial security selling candles.
Beeswaxes are also versatile. Besides taper candles, you can make votive candles, floating candles, pillar candles, and jar candles. If you want to try other scents besides honey, you can check out the stores for compatible fragrance oils and coloring dyes.
Candles can be prepared in different shapes and sizes to the delight of your clients. Part of your home business is to have a business plan. And a component essential to your business plan is your marketing strategy.
Business plan helps you materialize your goals. Through them, you can make fewer mistakes, if mistakes are inevitable in any home-based business. Marketing your products is not a problem as there is huge market for them-private individuals and business sectors.
To help sell your home-based business products, capitalize on their strengths. The benefits are what sell the beeswax candles. But of course, you need to sell them at the right places.
