Organic food becomes more popular as campaign for green planet is being pushed worldwide. Also, many health scientists link some diseases to artificial pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Organic food, whether fruits and vegetables, livestock and poultry should be devoid of genetic engineering, growth hormone, antibiotics, insecticides and herbicides.

There are two ways which you can earn with organic food. First, you grow your own produce. Second, you find suppliers of organic foods. In the first option, it will be hard and more expensive as you will need fertile land for planting.

If you have agricultural land, you can convert it to organic farm. You will need someone who will take care of it-from planting to harvesting. If you do not own agricultural land, you can rent it.

Raising and maintaining organic farm will not be easy as well. There are standards that you need to pass in order to obtain the organic seal sticker for poultry, livestock, fruits and vegetables.

Now, if it is not your desire to raise an organic farm, you can concentrate on keeping regular supply of organic food from different growers. Make it certain that your supply is enough and regular since you will be dealing with large volume of orders each day, once your home-based business is up and running.

In North America, the demand for organic food is seriously high. Stocks at stores and market run out easily. If you could find more than one supplier for organic food, it is best.

You have to ensure though that your supplier is accessible. It does not necessarily mean that he lives near you. The important thing is you can easily have supplies whenever you need them for your delivery business.

In addition, your supplier should offer flexible bulk price and easy payment terms. There are many organic growers who are willing to offer easy payment terms to organic food delivery business owners.

You will also have to devise your own system in pricing your organic foods. Pricing is very important. It should be done in such a way that your target market can afford your products, and at the same time, earn some profit.

To be successful in setting prices for your products, you can do research on it. Make a comparative study of the prices of similar products that are sold at the markets and stores. You can use the existing prices of such products displayed at the stores as benchmarks in setting prices on your products.

You will need to have a van for your home-based business. It does not necessarily be a brand new. A van in good working condition and able to deliver service performance to your home business is sufficient.

The name for your home-based business should be printed on the body of your van. This is partly to promote your business. You may also need to secure permits for your home business. A visit to your local government office will prove to be fruitful.

Re: Broken delivery guarantees - Well just as an update, the package finally arrived on September 4th, which means the FedEx "Overnight Standard Delivery" turned out to take 4 days! I decided to just keep the order since it caused so much trouble. Moreover, I don't want to have to deal with FedEx again to return the parcel back to the vendor.

We can also find out the list of organic keywords our competitors are working on along with their organic ranking in Google. It's really an interesting tool.
Good Potential for Packaging Industry - There are a lot of competitors, but I think there is huge potential for more cost effective recyclable packaging. Food packets, packing for products, all is growing industries, with competitive pricing its possible to earn little from these.
