As reflexology therapists become rampant in the United States, the competition becomes really tough. Even so, you can still beat the competition with your impressive customer service, reflexology skills, and of course, your niche.

Niche is very important so your target market knows that your business exists for people such as them. You can choose to serve children who suffer from depression, ADHD, ADD, and other physical infirmities and disability.

Touch therapy is very effective according to the experts. Touch combined with reflexology is more effective. Besides children, you may also serve mothers. If you want to serve senior citizens, there is also a huge market for that as baby boomers are reaching that stage. They may enjoy and benefit from your home-based business.

Anybody who has disability, whether emotional or physical can be your niche. As part of the complimentary and alternative medicine, reflexology is given more recognition on its impact on people.

It is also great for relieving tension, stress, tired muscles, ear infection, constipation, headache and toothache. Hence, you can also target employees, corporate goers, and career-oriented people.

Deciding on the type of service, as well as the schedule for your service is a factor that can set your standard. Should you consider home service? If so, are you flexible with your schedule? At what hour shall you start your reflexology, and at what time shall you close?

Writing a business plan is important. It gives you a sense of direction in running your home-based business. It is where you choose your marketing tactics, the funds that you need to make, the expenses you need to do, accounting and payroll system in case you decide to hire a secretary.

In the United States, some States may have restrictions on licensing requirements for home-based business particularly in reflexology therapy. You may have to pay a visit to your local government for the particulars.

Now to attract more clients, and to make your clients become repeat customer, and eventually become regulars, you can actively participate in the customer service. For example, you may contact them a day after they had their session with you.

Discuss how they feel after the reflexology therapy. Get feedback directly from them and ask for their preferences. You may also suggest some techniques to make it more effective. After which, you invite them over for another session.

Another way to build trust and establish rapport with your clients is to compare the senses on their feet after the therapy. You may ask your client to stand up as soon as you are done working on one foot, and ask how each foot feels.

This technique is effective when you want to establish the quality of your service. Your clients will then see the difference on their foot feeling before and after the reflexology. Soon, they will want such kind of feeling on their foot more often.

English teachers learn Japanese as Interns - Yasunori, what about the many students that leave N. America to teach English in Japan. They may want to learn Japanese (maybe Business Japanese is a bit different) and the Japanese Business Culture.
