Another option for you is to purchase website design business kits. Generally, the kit comes with books, binders and a compact disc which will help you learn the basics of website design. The kit serves as your guide. Its templates that come with the kit helps you learn by example until you can design on your own.

Part of your website design lessons is learning how to write HTML. While it is true that software can do the task, it is still different and best if you know how to write your own HTML code because there are circumstances when you need the skill to edit your own HTML code.

For example, if you want to use scripts like JavaScript, CGI, or PHP, you should know a lot about HTML because such scripts are placed directly within your HTML code. You cannot add the script unless you know the basics of HTML code.

The software is needed when you want to start with your website design home-based business. Using a plain text editor, you can start writing your own HTML code. The software must be properly installed on your computer so you can start using it. Web browser will read your HTML code and display your web page once you are done.

Once your web pages are done, you will need a web host to showcase your creativity. The prices for hosting web vary. But there are ways to host your website in reasonable costs. Some sites offer everything—such as server space and graphics—you need to get your website up and running on the internet.

Bidding for projects should not be difficult if your web designs are impressive. There are hundreds of free sites with which you can post your web design home-based business, and start bidding.

Managing Your Website - Hi Beat I know what you are talking about when you say it could be a frustrating experience. I would recommend to every business owner to find a website partner who can handle the Website Design/SEO/Hosting by themselves while still at a reasonable cost to your business. This is the most economical way to operate the online side of your business if you are unsure about it. I actually do this for a few clients myself and all I do is send them a bill every year for hosting/seo but if there are any problems its up to me to call the hosting company to find out what's wrong as well as keep them high ranking for particular keywords.
