Home-based Business: Why Start An Acupuncture Business

Acupuncture is becoming popular among home-based business owners. Not only does it promise good income being a practitioner, but it does have long-term benefits, especially in people's health.

A branch of Chinese Traditional Medicine, the administration of acupuncture involves insertion of filiform needles into various points in our body known as ‘meridians and channels', for the purpose of promoting good health and alleviating pain and suffering.

This traditional Chinese medicine therapy is practiced in China thousands of years earlier. Its advantages are not contained within that area as more people appreciate and understood the principles behind acupuncture.

Today, it is known almost in major countries across the world. The western medicine professionals are slowly giving acupuncture its due respect and recognition when it comes to beneficial health.

Many scientist and medical practitioners started learning acupuncture therapy or get involved in acupuncture for natural relief. Also, people who are seeking comprehensive and alternative medicine are paying visits to acupuncturists.

The market for this home-based business is huge, depending on your niche. Some of the most common therapies are designed for senior citizens, mothers, children and those who have special condition such as related to ear, nose, and throat, and disability like physical, emotional and mental.

While the market for this traditional Chinese medicine practice is high, the number of practitioners with specializations is not high enough to accommodate all potential clients. Hence, a practice on this industry makes a lucrative home business.

The usual charge per hour in acupuncture therapy is $250. If you choose to do part-time like 4 hours a day, you will be making $1000 each day granting that you have a booking every hour.

If you work five days a week, you will have $5000, and $20000 in a month, doing 80 hours of acupuncture therapy session. That figure could double up if you work 6 hours to 8 hours a day. In addition, if you cater to home service, the charge is even higher.

Marketing for your home-business is not difficult, if you know the techniques. Educating people is the most effective tool. While acupuncture is popular, not everyone is open to the idea of natural remedy.

Not everyone has fully understood the Yin and Yang energy present in each person. If you could make an attractive and simplified presentation of the benefits of your business niche, you only not boost your income resources; you are also helping many people.

Because the nature of this business is not food, you may have more chances at securing legal requirements to run a home-based business. Of course, State policy differs from one another. Still, government is stricter in businesses that are medical and involves food and beverages.

In acupuncture therapy, you are neither offering surgery nor food intake. And even if you could not meet all the requirements necessary to run your own home-based practice clinic, you can start by giving home services to your patients. You only have to establish your network of contacts, and you could do it part-time for awhile.

A new study based on four years of data from men and women in a training program for microenterprises finds that they come out the same in quality scores. "However, women scored significantly better on the presentation of their plan to judges," conclude the study's authors, Ronald G.
