Home-based Business: Why You Should Make Bayberry Candles
Unlike many other waxes for candles, bayberry's is limited for a certain period of time. Derived from the berry fruit of bayberry shrubs, the candles from such wax can only be made from autumn to spring, season when the fruit-bearing activity is at its peak. Some view this as a liability because its being limited means the price for the raw wax is expensive.
Others view it as an advantage, especially if you grow your own shrubs or when you know someone who can supply you with the berries every time the shrubs bear fruits. Cultivating your own shrubs is not only lucrative. The shrubs are good for landscapes, borders and for enhancing the aesthetics of your house. But this article is not so much about why you should plant shrubs. Rather, it gives reasons why you should make bayberry candles.
Its being limited makes the candles especially marketable. Many home-based business people who engage in candle-making business make their promotions about the limited candle two months from their availability. So clients who are interested in these candles can make early orders. Mostly, the items are good while supply lasts. Often, products that are seasonal are considered special that people really make an effort to have them. It is a natural trait of us, humans. If we can have them, then we will have them. If your clients have been buying candles made of different waxes from you, then surely, they knew that in certain months of the year, you will be selling this kind of candles, thus, they allot money for that.
When extracted, the bayberry wax has a natural olive green color. Melt it and mold into a candle, the color is naturally beautiful. There is no need to add coloring agent into the melted wax, which is beneficial in two ways. One you do not have to spend for coloring. And even if you have many in stocks because you make candles from other types of wax, you can save on bayberry, unless of course if there are clients who prefer their bayberry candles in different colors. Two, you do not have to go through the laborious tasks of measuring the coloring agent to beat its natural color. Some candles need to be re-melted several times to get the perfect shade, and with a wax having a natural hue, you need to be precise in your measurements.
Like any other waxes, bayberry's is perfect for taper, votive, jar candle, pillar or floating. The green wax is simply versatile and adapts to different molds. You can customize it using starburst or microcrystalline waxes for added effects and present them to custom markets for corporate giveaways, executive gifts and special-occasion gifts like Thanksgiving, Graduation, Anniversary, Christmas, New Year, Christening, Birthday and more.
The wax also comes with natural scent, which is another benefit. But of course, for the sake of your home-based business, you can try other fragrances just like trying different colors other than its natural. In the ancient times, a poem was composed for bayberry candles, which until in the present time is firmly believed by people. The lighting of a bayberry candle is associated with good luck or good charm, that is why, during a special occasion, people will not think twice on using a bayberry taper or pillar until its last drop of wax.
