If gel candles are your niche for your home-based business, it should not give you a hard time making and selling them. There is a potential market for this, although, most people are used to the traditional wax candles.

But compared to a wax candle, gel candle offers a lot of advantages. For one thing, gel burns twice as slowly as wax. The flame is smaller, hence, it is economical to use. If you prefer to make scented gel candles, almost all oil-based fragrance can be applied.

For another thing, gel is a clear substance, which makes it so versatile it fits into whatever creativity you have in mind. When it is lighted, it gives off a unique ‘glow' from its flame.

It is perfect for replicating objects such as cherry cola, or foods like a glass of fruit salad. Yes, glass. For a typical gel candle to exist, it needs a container, usually that of a martini or cocktail glass of 55mm in diameter to keep the heat far from the side walls.

But some experts confessed that if you use CHP grade, a high polymer, you can make a floating gel candle or make it stand on its own. With gel, it is easy and fun to play with all colors. You can also add ‘embeds' and ‘inserts' to make your candle appear real and authentic.

It is not a problem if the embeds have varying colors, for they will fit in perfectly with other colors without blotches. With wax candles, it is impossible to make decorations unless they are also made up of wax.

However, with gel, you can customize your creations by adding marbles, glitter, sand, sea shells, pebbles, polished stones, crystals, artificial jewels and more. These add-on decorations can be suspended and made visible on your candles to the delight of anybody whose eyes will behold them.

Now, the number of home-based business entrepreneurs who add gel candles into their niche is increasing, seeing that there is a potential in making money with this product. Gel is not strict when used to make candles.

If your creation does not turn out to be as you want it to be, it does not go wasted. All you need to do is re-melt the gel. And then you add additional gel if the fragrance is too strong. If it is too weak, you can add more fragrance oil.

If the color is too dark, you can add more clear gel. If it is too light, you can add more color into it. Gel candles make a perfect gift for any occasion as designs can be customized to fit any theme.

With their 3D effect, they blend well with any home décor. Your clients can put them anywhere in their house or office. They can use them inside their bathroom while having one of their beauty and health regimens in their bath tub.

Gel candles can also be placed on the center tables, or side tables in the living room to complement the room décor. People who love to light candles inside their bedrooms will find more light in their eyes with a gel candle. So, make a move now and make this your home-based business niche.
