Frequently sent by an e-mail, snail mail or fax, a press release follows a format. For internet marketing, a press release can be used to promote your site. To do this, you need to make your press releases SEO friendly. There are 7 ways to accomplish this task.

1. Use Keywords. Use the right keywords in your headlines. The right keywords are the ones that are high ranking. You have to know which keywords earn the top rank. There are free tools such as keyword search tool that can do the task.

By knowing the top ranking keywords, you are making your assignment easy. Of course, there are guidelines that you need to follow in using keywords. The density should be checked and set at a minimal level. 1.5% to 3% is the ideal density. The gap between keywords is also crucial. Depending on the length of your press releases, you keywords should be fairly spread all throughout the material.

2. Drop the Jargons. Know which terms that are commonly used by consumers. As an internet marketer, you need to be sensitive on how you would want your potential customers to search for you and your competitors on the search engines, lest, your internet marketing will not be visible. Use the proper terms in your press releases.

3. Optimize the first 250 words. The first 250 words that make up your first five paragraphs are very crucial to your overall search results. It is also at this point where the readers decide whether to continue reading or not. Of course, the purpose of your press release is to drive traffic to your business domain, enhancing your internet marketing. Hence, make your press release interesting so as the readers would be compelled to click the link to read more.

4. Select newsworthy topic. Others would say that a press release should be newsworthy, however, seasoned press release writers can make any topic newsworthy. A newsworthy press release is that which entices, indulges readers by arousing their curiosity. It is something that readers would care to know. 5. Write well. You should not only write, but write well. Make it compelling as to affect your readers to make the necessary move. The style by which you present your ideas is vital. There should be smooth flowing of the right words.

6. Stick to the facts. News items are straightforward, lacking excessive use of adjectives and flowery words. Sometimes, a sentence may sound better without an adverb, other times, it does. The main point is that to know when to use adjectives and adverbs.

Verify your information. One failure of an internet marketer is when he uses wrong information on his publications. You need to impress your readers.

7. Interact with your clients, journalists and bloggers. You can ask them direct questions on the topics or keywords they mostly use on their searches. It makes it easier for you to verify the top ranking keywords. It also makes your customers feel valuable, an effective method to increase the rankings of your internet marketing.
