You can even make a blog about your niche. Here are few tips on how to use blogs for business internet tactic. First, you have to understand that blogs and websites are two different ideas; however, they can be integrated or linked with each other to power up your online internet marketing.

1. You can create a separate blog from a different blog site or you can add a blog to your existing website. The most common approach is to add a sub domain to your website. When your website features blogs, you are reaching out to your clients in more personal way, thereby giving a boost to your web internet marketing.

2. Blog about your niche. Just like in web content articles, using the right keywords for your blogs can drive traffic to your website, which in turn can invite more visitors. More visitors can be converted to potential sales. Therefore, be wise in using the power of keywords to complement your marketing internet approaches. If you do not want to spend money on determining the specific and right keywords for your blogs, you can use the free websites that specialize in tracking the right keywords for your niche. Note that, search engines do not view as friendly and helpful blog sites and websites that are overstuffed with keywords. This principle holds true particularly in online internet marketing.

3. Use blog to create backlinks. You can make a blog in response to a certain blog and then post your URL link. This is a friendly internet business approach especially when your blog does not discriminate or discredit a certain niche blog. However, not all sites allow backlinking so choose to post your blog response to sites that encourage interactive activities.

4. Depending on your niche, people who are interested to your topic can subscribe to your blogs, which in turn can convert them into potential clients. Blogging can be an effective way to establish client base for internet marketing as they are informed instantaneously about the latest blog.

5. Use blog to establish trust from clients. To accomplish this, you need to establish a good reputation by creating an image of having and being an authority when it comes to your niche. Your blogs should contain original, reliable, substantial and timely material, rather than copied content.

When readers trust you, they believe on your niche. Chances of buying are higher, thereby rendering such internet marketing strategy lucrative.

You have a smaller group that Blog, but do so on the premise that they think they should, but have never really considered the purpose of their Blog. Then I think there are a few SEO or Internet Marketing types that see Blogging as just another link building strategy. But the largest group of Bloggers, tend to be people who enjoy writing and discussing their topics of interest. Blogging is good for link building, but the true Blogger is a breed apart from the rest. They want to dialog, to debate, to have feedback and they are very willing to link to other worthwhile conversations that are relevant to their topic. I agree with you. These group of Bloggers obviously are passionate about their writing and together, they create huge conversation trails interactive and travel from Blog to Blog. But the evidence is clear with this group that loves what they write about. With comments enabled on a Blog and having a Blog tuned to a specific purpose you already have the evidence of original Social Media.
Re: Kevin's Case Study #11 - A New Forum Category? - Hi Kevin, Like GT suggested, I also think you can add Internet Marketing as a sub category in the Marketing section and also a Social marketing as subcategory. Online marketing/internet marketing/online promotion are the same, and it will be best to use the common term - Internet marketing. I can't think about someone to moderate a Social Marketing category. We all use it, we all know how to make it work and we all have our own different experience with it.
Internet Marketing Conference on SLife - I've been trying to log in but it keeps crashing.. anyways.. a friend of mine in BC plans on holding Internet Marketing Conferences on SecondLife and have the same top internet marketers that would normally be in Live Internet Marketing conference speak. Income will be generated from admission charges, product sales during breaks, sponsor tables, etc etc.. Just to get the ideas flowing in your head that anything you can do in the real world can be replicated in SL. There is no planned date as of yet for this conference.

Request an analysis from an Internet marketing coach or Internet marketing consultant. 6. Build a responsive opt-in email list. 7. Publish articles or get listed in news stories. 8. Write and publish online press releases. 9. Facilitate and run contests and giveaways via your web site. 10. Blog and interact with your visitors.

You sound like a very enthusiastic person who likes what she does and in Internet Marketing that is very important and you also sound like a 'people person' which is great. Internet Marketing is time consuming and challenging but can also be extremely rewarding and hopefully profitable. I don't know how many forums you have signed up to but this is one of the best.
