Moreover, placing orders with you can be convenient and with a touch of special treatment, as most home-baked goodies are. So, here are some tips to make money working from home.

Compile all recipes that you know by heart. Collate them into one book. This shall be your guide on what to bake and offer to your potential clients. To be effective in how to make money from home baking pastries, you have to consider what most people love and what you believe they would love from your baked stuffs.

Consider your Budget. Most cakes are made from expensive ingredients. Plan carefully your budget allotted for your baking business. Do a canvass shopping on the list of ingredients and determine how much it would cost for a certain cake or how many it would produce with specific measurements. This is how you determine the right price for your product.

Do a Test. Choose the best recipes you have and try them. Request your friends and family to try them. You can also ask for comments and feedback from them so you would know what sort of taste appeal to them.

Of course, this should not be the perfect time to make money from home by asking them to try your baked goodies. It should be free. Besides, this is a good practice to hone your skills, and a chance to promote your future make-money-working-from-home business.

Photograph your cakes and other pastries. Every time you bake something, take photo shots of it from all angles and dimensions. Print a hardcopy and make your portfolio. You can use it in presenting your catering proposal to potential clients.

Create an online portfolio as well and publish your photos on social media. You can even tag your friends to promote your sweets and pastries. To optimize your method to make money from home, publish a blog about it. Book for Gigs. Tell your friends about your baking business and ask for referrals of people who may be holding events. You can contact the referrals for possible catering services to them. Use your portfolio to show them how enticing your cakes, muffins, cookies and brownies are. You can also tell your neighbors about it. Sell your products. You can approach small grocery, corner and convenience stores to make a business agreement with them. They can either buy your products, or you can display them on their stores on consignment basis. Either way is a good approach to make money from home.

Join baking competition. There are many baking magazines or manufacturers of baking ingredients that hold contest on baking. It is a good way to tell everyone about your business, hone your skills and enhance your confidence.

If its purely Money, then Blog might be an appropriate answer. But consider this - It will be people (visitors) that will bring traffic to your blog and then Money will follow. QuickBooks vs. Microsoft Money vs....? - I have always used Microsoft Money to run my business - accounting, invoicing, etc. It came with my computer when I got it and integrated well with my online banking system so everything is a breeze. It only takes 30-60 minutes every quarter to do the bookkeeping (keep in mind that I have a very simple business - no inventory, very little invoicing, I do all my payments by credit card, etc). Is QuickBooks or Money the best accounting tool for small business owners? Or is there something even better?
