Make Money from Home with Gardening
Make Money from Home with Gardening
Here are few tips:
Plan the size of your garden. If you can spare 30x40 feet of your yard, it will be sufficient to start working on your garden. Some people, after trying out many ways to make money from home, have finally succeeded in gardening. Besides, psychologists and psychiatrists believe that gardening, when carried out properly can be a stress reliever.
Plan the plants you would grow. Actually, you can grow any plants you like. If you plan to grow herbs, the best choices are chamomile, lavender, lemon balm and basil because these are the ones that most people look for to make pot pourri, ingredients for cooking or crafts.
For flower, you can choose Roses, Daylilies, Autumn joy, Angel trumpets and more. You can also produce vegetables such as tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants and more. Some homeowners would love to have plants inside the house, so if you can also make and grow bonsai trees, it can also be a good method to make money from home.
Some people who are successful in gardening may recommend buying shrubbery plants and saplings. They plant them in a pot and care for one year, after which, they sell the plants. It is wise when you buy low and sell high.
In this time of economic crises, it is best when you know how to make money from home. Gardening can be a part time or full time undertaking, depending on your schedule and circumstances.
Market your produce. You can put a signage in front of your yard or fence to inform people you are selling plants, flowers, herbs and vegetables. Your neighbors, friends and visitors will be happy to find something from your garden. It would save them time and effort in going to the market to buy those which you have also produced.
You can also make a consignment with the vendors at the market, convenience store and small groceries for some of your crops. You can provide them cut-flowers, herbs and vegetable produce.
Join Exhibit. Events such as exhibits and fairs are great ways to advertise your gardening business because many people visit these events to buy plants. Most organizers of garden fairs charge small amount of money for registration.
Join the Festivals. In America, there are several festivals held in each year in local areas. These festivals attract people and some of them come to buy plants and flowers. This can be a good approach to make money from home.
