Building inbound links to your site makes your business domain popular. It also drives traffic. Web promotion also includes web design and development strategy.

Optimize through search engines. Google, Yahoo and MSN are three of the most popular search engines. When your site is optimized, it increases its visibility during searches.

There are many ways to optimize your website. You need to choose the ones that are in line with your overall online marketing strategies.

Write and Publish. Articles, news stories and press releases are very powerful online marketing strategy. Make use of its potential properly. Your publications should be timely, substantial and compelling.

Use Affiliate Marketing. This term implies revenue sharing between two parties: the website owner and an online merchant. The website owner opens his site for advertisement to help an online merchant sell his product or to drive traffic to the merchant’s website. There are three ways to engage in affiliate marketing. You can use the Pay-per-click method and gain profits every time a customer leaves the website by clicking on the link that leads to the merchant’s website.

Use E-mail Marketing. This online marketing strategy improves the relationship between a business owner and his customers. It is used to advertise a service or product by sending an electronic e-mail.

It is among the most effective online marketing strategy simply because it can reach a wide range of audience in a short period of time.

Use opt-in e-mail. This method requires the target user to opt-in by clicking a link, registering and confirming one’s own email address. It is a form of advertisement that is by far more cost efficient than direct advertising done through door-to-door sales, regular mail or telemarketing.

Many business owners use opt-in email to avoid spamming or bulk mailing of unwanted email advertisements. Host an Interactive Blog. Regularly update your blog contents and allow readers to leave comments after your blog. Invite readers to join forum. Make it interactive by engaging with your customers.
