Top 12 Home Based Business For 2010 II

Home based business is a rewarding venture, particularly in today’s crises. Many people who lost their jobs resorted to home business and succeeded. Since the advent of internet technology, many industries and areas in business were created.

What used to be impossible is now easy and profitable. For year 2010, the following home based business will prove to be a boon:

1. Search engine optimization. SEO, the abbreviation for search engine optimization is by itself a business. It serves to optimize the websites for more visibility during searches. Its services include driving traffic to your business domain, hosting a website, designing the web and layout and other facets of website.

If you are a computer savvy, you can start you own business that specializes in search engine optimization. There are several approaches to optimization and you can choose its areas which you are confident.

2. IT related services. There are hundreds of companies that outsource their needs in almost anything—from writing web content articles and blogging to programming and acting as IT support. If you have these skills, you can start your own home based business.

This is different from employment because in this industry, there is no employer-employee relationship. It is per-transaction dealing. You are paid for what you can deliver, which is based on the services you offer.

3. Education. If you have a certification and qualifications, you can do the job related to education. Technology has made such tasks amenable at homes. There are many universities and colleges that offer classes through video software or podcasts. There are even online classes available.

Relative to your skills and qualifications, you can handle online tutorials or regular classes in the subjects of science, math, history and foreign language. If your native language is English, you can teach English lessons to interested students.

4. Baking. Americans are fond of sweets, and that includes chocolates. Confectionery is a profitable home based business. You can bake cakes, cookies and pastries and sell them to daycare schools, pre-schools and even to grocery stores.

Your neighbors, relative and officemates can be your first 1000 customers, while your family members are your food critic. Before you start with it, it is best if you can try out all recipes and choose the top 10 best sellers.

Do not forget to take photos of your home made recipes, and keep them in an album. This will serve as your menu in case your customers would love to order cakes and pastries from you.

5. Photography. If you have skills in taking pictures, you can visit offices and households to offer picture-taking services. You can also setup your own studio and start with home based business in photography. Offer photography services during events such as weddings, birthday, product launching and parties.

You can also offer personalized photo album for all occasions if you have computer skills.

6. Customized souvenirs. If you love arts and are creative and resourceful, such skills can lead you to have your own home based business specializing in souvenir products, giveaway and favor items for all occasions.

Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? Re: Trade Shows - Are They Worth It? - HI, I have used trade shows (not participated) to collect potential clients. For example, the Home & Garden Industry is extremely behind the time in regards to their websites. I attended an Home & Garden Expo in Denver and collected all the companies contact information. I plan on cold calling & mailing information to each business. It also gave me time to research the industry more, talk directly to the owners in many cases, and learn more about what they need.
