Web promotion includes the web design and development. The design of your menu or home page should be simple having a user-friendly interface. The features of your business domain should be visible to people who visit the site.

Moreover, in online marketing strategies, experts recommend to supplement HTML links at the bottom of the page, if you are using JavaScript and Flash menus, because search engines do not read JavaScript and Flash systems very well.

However, never use an HTML system to set up your navigation system since this will create indexing problems. One reason why most people leave the website even when it offers exactly what they want is the complexities of web design. People have a hard time navigating through the domain that they have grown weary or become irritated they opt for exit.

Other components of web design are the layout, theme and color. Every element should complement each other to convey a professional image to the consumers.

To gain high ranks on search engines, web promoters use Meta tags. Most search engines look inside the Meta tags on your web page. The Meta tags should be placed on the head. It should also be found on your web description and on the keywords.

Your title page is also important in online marketing strategies. Search engines consider your title as one of the top priorities in their search process. Study the title that you give to our web page. Consider the keywords that users may type on the search box to get what they want.

There are search engines however that do not count on the Meta tags. Rather, they look at the web contents. If your business domain has images, ensure that there are accompanying texts or there are texts written somewhere on the web page.

When it comes to keywords, experts advise not to use the same keywords more than five times otherwise the search engines may find the web to be a spam. Keywords should be placed on the META tags, on the Title page, on the contents of your web and on the hyperlinks.

Consultants for online marketing strategies recognize the importance of using keywords on hyperlinks as the search engines look for keywords that are hyperlinked to the body text. If you have keywords placed on hyperlinks, the search engines view them as very important.

In addition, experts in online marketing strategy add a page name with keywords to the webpage you are linking.

Creating a site map is also a good online marketing strategy under website promotion. Ensure that the site map page has links to all pages of your web. This helps the search engines and visitors to find all your pages. Search the web for free tools on creating site map. There are XML and Webmaster that you can choose from. Upload your sitemap to your website, and submit your XML sitemap to Google, Yahoo and Bing.
