What is Network Marketing?

The other term that is commonly used for Network Marketing is Multi-level marketing. It is a business model in which independent distributors sell products. The marketing is done through the client’s house, by telephone, or by internet.

Each company has a set of marketing principles as the basis for earning income. The revenues earned by distributors are also multi-level. They have a share of sales made up to 4th level. Sometimes, it is limitless. The products that people who engage in networking marketing sell range from cosmetics, health and nutrition, fashion, homeopathic remedies. Some people register and become a distributor to avail the discounted prices of the products they want to maintain.

Others who found potential in the business plan are industrious to recruit people to become their down line, and expand their network. The deeper the level penetrates, the more revenues can be earned. Depending on the marketing plan, some companies have set particular percentage of commission from your down line on the first level. The percentage diminishes as the level goes down to second, third and fourth.

There are also network marketing companies that have uniform percentage of commission on all levels of down line. As you gain more down lines, and as they endeavor to have their own network and respective down line, your position elevates. As you go to higher position, your sales income increases as well.

Other distributors purchase the product from wholesale price and sell them in retail consumer price to individuals who are not distributors. The rewards are double, they are earning points from the purchase—which can be converted into cash when the right time comes—and the mark up price of the product as it is sold to consumers.

Becoming a network marketer is easy and simple. In fact, it does not require proper educational background. Neither does it require that you first acquire special knowledge on the niche or products of the company. When you register and become a distributor, you will receive a kit for a certain amount of money.

Included in the kits are specific products, product literature, sales aids like CD recording or video recording, price lists, order forms and detailed instruction manual. Many network marketing companies publish newsletter or magazine to feature the nature, benefits and properties of their products.

Experts recommend that nothing beats honesty and sticking to facts. Officers of the company engages in network marketing are encouraged to use the product literature to educate consumers.

They also publish stories and testimonials of people who have benefited from the company’s products. Of course, the magazine normally starts with a message from the Chief Executive Officer. Events like product launching or sponsoring are also included on the magazines.

Most of the companies and distributors have created their websites to maximize the potential in network marketing. They use many tools and resources that are available on the web to market their products to potential clients.

Because there are many companies that engage in network marketing, there are several schemes that are deemed illegal. Moreover, in order to sell high, some distributors make outrageous claims especially when it comes to health, the area that is most appealing to consumers.

Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? Why do people hate Network Marketing / MLM? - I've been looking at a number of different opportunities and end up meeting a lot of Network Marketing / Multi-Level Marketing people. Some of the offers look interesting but everyone I talk to about it says to avoid these guys like the plague - what's the deal? Why do people hate network marketers and MLM people so much? Is it not legit?
Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. Re: MLM Marketing, youtube, and buzzirk mobile. - I have experience with MLM too. My initial reaction to the business was "snake-oil salesman" but once I got to understand the "overall business model" I am now an advocate to it. MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) is also known as Network Marketing. I realized an MLM business is no different than any other business. One needs to focus on both words "Network" and "Marketing" and give both equal respect. Some people focus heavily on the Networking part but forget "Marketing". I've started to use Building on a Budget and Magnetic Sponsoring concepts in my NM business and have found that people don't get involved so much because of the product but more because of what you bring to the table as far as marketing systems and support. I have both products listed in my signature. you don't have to buy it as the link to the free videos itself provides you a good understanding of what is required to position yourself as my above paragraph. If you do plan on purchasing it I can tell you that the measly $40 will open your eyes BUT your upline will not be too happy (atleast in the short term) beacuse the system is not duplicateable. I wrote this post as a polar post to Bulmer's reply as I have exhausted the friends and family networking and realized i never really focused on marketing. My leads now are more qualified and open to hearing about my opportunity than the other way around. my 2 cents if you plan on growing an MLM or Networking Marketing business.
Network Marketing Business Network Marketing Business - Hello all, Recently, I had join a Network Marketing Business on a part-time basis. Does anyone here who has some knowledge on this type of business? I want to learn as fast as I can from all the gurus here
10 best franchises to get involved 10 best franchises to get involved - My advice is: 1) Go to the library and start reading business books (accounting, finance, etc.) 2) Go to your local community college and enroll in night classes 3) Join the local Chamber of Commerce 4) Network / Network / Network -- through the above sources. Once you have spent two years doing the above, then look for a 55 - 60 year old business person that is looking to reduce their time in the business. Then you can work on a sweetheart financing option.
Re: answer this question Re: answer this question - This is a good topic. I haven't done anything, yet, to seriously damage my business. I did shift gear though. It was the best decision I ever made. For me, affiliate marketing was not working. Making the switch to Network Marketing made all the difference.
