Many people looking for home-based business found what they are looking for in recycling. Recycling is becoming popular as campaign for a green planet becomes rampant worldwide.

Recycling involves the process of renewing or reusing items or part of the items for new production. There are many reasons why people should consider recycling. First, it allows people to save money. Recycled products or products that used some recycled components cost less. Experts evaluated the quality of such products and vouched that the performance is never affected.

The second reason for doing recycling is to help save the planet earth. Production of commodities consumes more fuel, and uses much of the earth's natural resources, to the point that the planet is exploited, which poses sustainability danger to the next generation.

For such reasons, many manufacturers all over the world support the call for participating in recycling business. There are two ways from which you can earn potential income from recycling home-based business.

The first approach is to become a "go to" person by small scale recyclable items seller. To do this, you may need a vacant lot where all the junkies, wastes, scavenged and salvaged items are piled.

You may need to hire assistants who will inspect, take out the valuable components or recyclable parts, and sort them out. Either your staff or you yourself will do the appraisal of such junk commodities sold to your yard.

As soon as you have reached a certain volume of whatever scrap material you have accumulated, you may then sell them to multi-national companies that need them. The prices may vary according to the materials sold. You can sell plastic, cans, bottles, metals, iron, steel, and electronic devices, leather, etc.

The second approach to earning potential from this recycling home business is to be an independent seller. Once you have accumulated junks or wastes, you can sell them to the junk or recycling yard for the recycling process.

This can be done part-time or full-time. The secret to earning good income is to know which items have the highest value to the appraiser. The first items that have the highest value are the electronic devices.

According to statistics, nearly 10 million set of computers and laptops are being junked each year, as people find it cheaper to buy a brand new than to pay for its reparation. Inside the computer, whether the central processing unit or the monitor are circuit boards and other parts that are valuable.

Cellular phones are another electronic device that is easily replaceable. Old phones are sometimes hidden at the basement, in the attic, storage room or thrown into the trash bin. These too contain chips and circuit boards.

Medical devices also have hidden great value within them. The medical equipment used in cardiac and other medical procedure is disposable, yet, may have platinum that has a value of $1,100 per ounce.

In your neighbor, you may disseminate flyers about your home-based business. Indicate that you will do them service by collecting their electronic wastes, junk appliances and other junk items from their household. You may even ask for assistance from community leaders, organization officers to help you with your home business.

Kathie from Melbourne, Australia Kathie from Melbourne, Australia - Hello everyone, I've been a contributing author for quite sometime with Evan Carmichael but only recently became aware of this forum - I didn't know it existed. I'm a mother of 5 daughters and wife of Graham. We live in Melbourne, Australia. My business was begun early 1994 fulltime from home so I could be here with our girls as they were growing up. I began a homebased secretarial business which became a Virtual Assistant business and network as the internet took hold in the business world. Today I manage a network of VAs in 15 countries. Blogging became the perfect outlet for me as I'm an avid writer so I write several blogs, have authored some books as well and periodically do articles for printed publications and online ezines and newsletters. Finally I've recently entered the speaking 'circuit' speaking at conferences, seminars and teleseminars, mainly in Australia but have begun to do a few teleseminars and radio shows for the US. I've just been asked to do my first 'physical presence' conference in Canada in 2009 which I am quite excited about.

Using your home for collateral is one thing, but... Using your home for collateral is one thing, but... - Putting up your home for collateral is one thing, but utilizing the equity in it to finance a business is a whole other ball game and could be damaging in the long run. Do you know that if you completely finance your business with home equity instead of a busienss loan you will not be able to obtain a working capital loan later down the road? should you run into some financial troubles or wish to expand or remodel with working capital loan, you won't be able to get it if you finaced by personal means. It's always best to build a track record with a lender for future use and it's always better to be in business debt rather than personal debt. I always say: "You wouldn't hire a Plumber to do the Electrical in your home, so why would you finance a business using your home equity? Equity loans are for your home, business loans are for your business. You may however, utilize some of the equity in your home for loan down payment (depending upon your qualifications) and we can help determine whether that would be more helpful or damaging to your loan by pre-qualifying you for free. when using your home for collateral, it doesn't necessarily mean you will lose your home (in the event you cannot pay your loan payments). Lenders are always willing to work with you once you have a loan with them and they have already taken on the risk. they typically only utilize what they lien if nothing else can be resoloved (so it's basically a last resort) to go after what they lien.
Insurance for Home Based Business? Insurance for Home Based Business? - Apparently homeowners insurance and liability insurance may not be enough to cover your at home based business. Especially if you are running the business out of a detached garage or other dwelling on your property. Does anyone have another type of business insurance for their home based business or know anything about this?
How can I start home-based business? How can I start home-based business? - I am not sure what you mean by home-based and how my story can help but my home-based business is my web design business. I can work from home and go out to meet my clients. These times (When I'm out) is the most 'dangerous', because if clients need some files or if something didn't get through email, I'll need to find the nearest internet hot spot (i bring my external hard drive everywhere) to service the client or come up with an excuse. initially it was difficult, working from home and starting up. work was scarce but I knew it was only in the beginning. after 5 months, I have quite a constant flow of work but still the cheques are not that regular but its getting there. I met other people who has started home-based business and they range from travel agents to company secretaries. hope that helps
