How to Write a Decent Article

As a lot of you out there know, article writing is one of the best free methods that there is to promote your online business, your website and yourself. By writing decent articles you are establishing yourself as an authority in your field and of course the more you write, the better you get at it. Web publishers are always looking for good content for their websites, so you get to increase the links to your website.

Writing articles is also a wonderful way to generate high quality and responsive leads to your website.

When writing an article, it is always good to jot down some ideas first. Pick some choice keywords for your article by using one of the many free keyword tools on the internet, and make sure that you check out the competition for your keywords on the Search Engines. You can do this by typing your keywords in quotations "..." and the search engine will give you the amount of competing sites to your exact keyword phrase.

If you want a quick article try this tip. Write down a problem at the top, and then five or six ways to solve that problem. Elaborate on each point and then write a final paragraph to finish off, and voila, you have an article. A good length to go on is between 350 - 750 words, but around 500 is normally adequate. You don't want to make your article too long and drawn out.

Some things to implement when writing a decent article:

1. Try not to go off on a tangent, or you will loose your reader along the way.

2. Always proof read and spell check your article, because once you have distributed it, there is no going back. Using the spell check is not always enough, as they only pick up spelling mistakes, and not things like think and thing which are similar words, but could easily be typed in error.

3. Check the validity of the information that you are putting out there. There is nothing worse than seeing your article out there a few months down the line and realizing that the content is exaggerated or untrue.

4. Don't be tempted to use complicated language. Make it simple and easy to understand, or once again you will loose your audience.

5. When promoting a product, talk about the benefits of the products not just the features. There will always be a lot of products out there with similar features, but only yours will have certain benefits.

6. Don't be hazy in your article. Try and get to the point. Always look back at your title and ask yourself if you have delivered in your article what the title has promised.

7. And finally, drive your point home and build a reputation for yourself as an expert in your field.

Here it is: Write the blog post / article you were born to write. Write something that you can pour your heart and all your passion into. Write something where you can change the life of the person reading it. Write something where if you look back in 10 years you'll be really proud of what you created. Can you do that? I'd love to read it (and I bet a lot of others will too!)

Re: Do Articles For Businesswomen need to be written differently Re: Do Articles For Businesswomen need to be written differently - I don't think that as a general rule an article [i:11csddi3]needs[/i:11csddi3] to be written "for women." In my opinion, the two important writing rules are: 1) Write for your targeted audience. If it happens to be predominantly women or predominantly men, then write accordingly (if you have the ability to make that distinction in your writing). 2) Write in your own voice. Be natural. If you are a serious writer, your style will become apparent over time and you will develop a following. It may happen that your style is more attractive to one sex or the other. If so, you may be able to advance your writing career by further cultivating your sensitivity within that style. Bottom line: I do believe that certain styles appeal to women, certain styles appeal to men and if you know the distinction, have the ability to write in a particular style and choose to target one sex or the other, then go for it. But I don't think that it is a necessity in today's market. GT :-]
4 Ideas for Viral Marketing 4 Ideas for Viral Marketing - 1. Purchase the branding rights to a viral E-book. Allow people to give away your free E-book to their visitors. Then, their visitors will also give it away. This will just continue to spread your ad all over the Internet. 2. If you have the ability to set up a forum or other bulletin board, you really have a great tool. Allow people to use your online discussion board for their own website. Some people don't have one. Just include your banner ad at the top of the board. 3. Write an E-book. Allow people to place an advertisement in your free E-book if, in exchange, they give away the E-book to their web visitors or E-zine subscribers. 4. Write articles that pertain to your product or service. Allow people to reprint your articles on their website, in their E-zine, newsletter, magazine or E-books. Include your resource box and the option for article reprints at the bottom of each article.
