Building Wealth by Learning Lessons from the Mistakes of Others

Gone are the days when a good old fashioned job yielded the best security for a person to provide for the family. Pension plans are extremely rare in this economy. 401K plans are not producing the yields they once could. Real estate, once a solid investment, has seen corrections like never before. Jobs are being lost at an alarming rate all over the world. It is now up to each individual to carve out a piece of the pie and find creative ways to grow their own security.

It has been estimated that at least 80% of Americans are in debt. If you are keeping up with your neighbor in the spending arena, it is highly likely that your AND your neighbor are in that 80 % who are constantly struggling to make ends meet. It is highly likely that you are on the vicious treadmill, always worried about making your paycheck stretch until you receive the next one. Even though your neighbors may not admit it, it is also very likely that they are experiencing the same stresses and wondering which way to turn.

There is no more perfect time than now to learn to keep finances in check and prepare to continue good financial practices even when the current recession is over. It is so important to develop good habits to live within your means and to make wise decisions about finances. It is time to learn both from your own mistakes and from the mistakes of others! It is never too late to make the decision to become wealthy and to take action to move in that direction.

In fact, the wealthy live significantly below their means. Wealth management involves education and discipline. The best way to obtain the education is by aligning yourself with others who have achieved success and who are willing to reach out and help others achieve results of their own.

Most people do not know much more about building wealth than knowing that they need a job to pay for their expenses. They live in constant stress and anger about the difficulty in trying to get by on their wages. Most people never experience financial independence and the freedom that comes along with the attainment of it.

If you want to get off the treadmill badly enough, you need to search for quality education on building wealth. Then, you need to put all your effort into learning and mastering the skills. With a little time spent educating yourself and putting the concepts into practice, you can and will carve out a new and better future for yourself and your family!

The five laws of success:

  1. Massive Action Equals Massive Results
  2. Professionals Sort the Sales they Attract and Amateurs Sell
  3. Create Success in Others and it will Come Back to You Ten-Fold
  4. Love Your Business and Your Business will Love You
  5. Surround Yourself with the Kind of People You Want to Become

Type of business with building Type of business with building - If you owned a building and Wal-Mart was opening its doors across the street in a previously unoccupied area (along with 12-14 small shops), what type of business would you start? Here are the considerations: 1. Money is a non-factor 2. Building is fairly large (10,000) square feet 3. Building is on the corner of a busy intersection (about to get much busier)
Re: September Contest Winners, New October Contest! Re: September Contest Winners, New October Contest! - Hello, everybody: The prizes are great - especially since it costs nothing to participate. But the best benefit of a contest like this (whether you win a prize or not) is that it gets you motivated to do something you should already be doing regularly anyway. And that is forum participation, of course. Immersing yourself in a marketing community helps you get info, ideas, insight, inspiration, insider knowledge, encouragement, confidence, feedback and friends. Learning from others is great. Sharing your own info and insight with others is great. Networking your products and services is great. Building your online image or brand is great. The more you post, the more exposure you get. The more value you offer in your posts, the better your reputation becomes as a knowledgeable and capable service provider. It doesn't matter whether or not you win a prize ... if you are participating regularly all month long, you are already a winner! That makes you a leader and leadership has its rewards. Aim for the prize, but rejoice in the example you are setting as a leader in Evan's entrepreneur community. GT :-]

Re: My Favourite 7 Boldest Entrepreneur Moves of All Time Re: My Favourite 7 Boldest Entrepreneur Moves of All Time - Hi Evan, I have a new suggestion for "Boldest Entrepreneur Moves of All Time" and a suggestion for your Learning from the Masters series: 1. Boldest Entrepreneur Moves of All Time = Christopher Columbus: "... he saw the possibility of treasure and commerce where others saw only danger. He committed so wholeheartedly to that vision that not even dozens of rejections and ongoing penury could dissuade him from pursuing a journey to Asia via the West. He built on his technical strengths as a seaman to plan a viable journey and eventually marshal an expedition." - Christopher Hoenig, 6 Essential Secrets for Thinking on a New Level I bought Hoenig's book about 10 years ago but couldn't make head or tail of it then... reading it now and finding it inspirational... 2. Nomination for Learning from the Masters video: Dee Hock, founder of VISA. (Source = Hoenig.)
