Top Twenty Reasons to Become an Entrepreneur

Although the list goes on an on, these reasons alone are enough to convince me that I have chosen the right path!

1. You get to keep ALL of the profits of the business, not just a meager tidbit of what you are worth.

2. You can tap into your unlimited potential and explore your true passion.

3. You don't have to set an alarm clock.

4. You can decide when to work and when to take a break.

5. You can wear your pajamas to work.

6. You don't have to brown nose the boss.

7. You don't have to worry about being laid off.

8. You can change the product line any time you decide to do something different.

9. You don't have to call in sick when you or someone in your family is ill.

10. You can take your dog and/or cat to work.

11. You can take power naps whenever you want.

12. The commute to your office takes seconds, not hours.

13. You don't have to miss events for your child's extracurricular activities.

14. You don't have to iron clothes and pack lunches for the week.

15. You can do household chores in between income-producing activities instead of spending the whole weekend catching up.

16. You have time to develop your creative energies.

17. You have time to give back to the world in whatever way you see fit.

18. Your income potential is far greater than that of an employee.

19. Your failures are stepping stones to your successes and increased income instead of red marks on your evaluations leading to possible salary decreases.

20. And LAST, but not LEAST, it just FEELS GREAT to be your own boss!

All in all, any successful entrepreneur works many more hours than an employee. But, when it is YOUR company that you are working for, it does not feel like work at all! It is the most enjoyable and profitable way to make your own mark in the world.

The risks are generally greater for an entrepreneur than they are for an employee. However, this is not necessarily true in today's economy, as even major corporations are showing their vulnerability. No longer is there security in an employer/employee relationship.

If you are looking at becoming an entrepreneur, you are in the right place at the right time. Never has the time been more ripe for entrepreneurs to arise and develop themselves. You have the power of the internet at your fingertips, and there are so many exciting opportunities.

Entrepreneurship is exciting because, to quote Zig Ziglar, "If you give others everything that they want, you will receive everything that you want." It is so fulfilling to watch others light up in their success because you have equipped them with the tools they need.
