Perseverance Is The Opposite Of Get Rich Quick Schemes
Written by: Jeffrey NelsonArticle Overview: Get rich quick schemes don't exist. Well, the schemes exist but the results I'm guessing are VERY rare. Having success online is about determination, will, and desire to succeed. It's about not giving up when something doesn't go right, it's about falling down 7 times and getting up 8...

Perseverance Is The Opposite Of Get Rich Quick Schemes
The title says it all. Perseverance is the opposite of the
“get rich quick schemes”. Perseverance is the very basic, fundamental block of
any serious entrepreneur. It is not as sexy as fast scams and get rich quick
schemes, however it is infinitely more feasible.
If you want a get rich quick scheme, play the lottery. Those
fast, easy money scams are all over the internet. A savvy entrepreneur would
intentionally look for the company that advertises itself as education based,
training intensive, and value driven. In order to “get rich quick” you have to
become rich as a person. Your bank account is going to directly reflect your
value to society and to other people. Nobody can become valuable over night.
However, depending upon your definition of quick, “get rich quick schemes” can
be value driven.
The point of this article is to speak to the fundamental
building block of all success. This word is so ingrained in my head that it is
part of me: perseverance. So many quotes exist about this topic. It’s the buzz word
among buzz words of the industry. A favorite quote of mine about perseverance
is as follows, “"Perseverance is a great element of
success. If you only knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are
sure to wake up somebody.”
All successful people have to
persevere. All success comes as a result of someone spitting in the face of
defeat and defying the worlds demands to give in. All of that is possible
because of that simple word.
That’s great and all, but how does it
apply to me? Good question.
Here’s the deal: I am telling you
right now that if you want to be an entrepreneur, it’s going to be tough. We
have ruled out the get rich quick schemes and the fast, easy money scams. All
that is left is a will to succeed through thick and thin. Failures will come
and plans will change in your business, but the audacity to say “I will
persevere” is something that can remain until you give in. Never give in. This
wasn’t meant to be a mindset article, but it has to be. Perseverance is
possibly the single most important element of business.
I am going to be so bold as to say one
can learn anything they put their mind to. You can acquire any skill, fine-tune
any personality flaws, and create anything you need to – or borrow it from
others. Anything a person needs to succeed can be obtained – except
perseverance. Nobody can make you want something and nobody can make you do
what is required to get it. That, is all up to you. Control that aspect of your
life, and anything you want can be yours as easily as saying “I want that.”
Another of my favorite quotes is this:
“Perseverance is not a long race: it is many short races, one after
another.” Look at life in this way, and persevering is a lot easier. You don’t
have to run a 100 mile race to lose 20 lbs – if you run 1 mile every day for
100 days, the results will be tremendous. If something is difficult, break it
down into less intimidating tasks, and do them religiously until you reach your
entire goal. That is the essence of perseverance – one of the truly great lessons.
