Why Do You Need A Network With Legitimate Home Based Business Opportunities?

Why does a person need to have a network with legitimate home based business opportunities? It’s simple. There is an old saying that says “Your net worth is directly reflected by your network.” Let me touch on a few ways your network can influence your net worth and briefly discuss why each happens. The first network group to discuss is your friends and family.

Now, I’m not saying you have to ditch your friends and family, of course not. I am, in fact, into legitimate home based business opportunities because of that very reason – friends and family (mostly family). What I am saying is this: sometimes family doesn’t make the best business decisions for your life. It’s that simple. Here is an exercise I did when I felt some resistance from my friends and family based on my decision to pursue a life of being an entrepreneur. I looked at them objectively and said “Is that where I want to end up in life?” The answer, was no.

I have nothing but pride and admiration for my family – all of them. But the truth is, I don’t want to work 40 hours a week for 40 years of my life. I just don’t. I can’t give up that much of myself to someone who is looking at their bottom line and making decisions on my life based upon that. That, to me, is asking too much. I am more of a risk taker, an entrepreneur. I owe all of that to my family, as they are the ones who made me what I am. Are they proud of me? Of course they are. But, that doesn’t mean they have always supported me in my decisions. This isn’t about me though, it’s about you and your network. If you are surrounded by people who are doing what you want to do and living your dream life, then you are doing it correctly. If not, then perhaps legitimate home based business opportunities are worth taking a look at.

So, at this point you have decided that you want something different. So, how do you find a network of people to align yourself with? Many “mastermind opportunities” exist in legitimate home based business opportunities, however be leery of strictly mastermind groups. You do need a mastermind group, but you need a mastermind group with people who you can duplicate. Would it help you to be part of a mastermind group of billionaires where you need $5 million dollars to be a part of anything? I know it wouldn’t help me. Situation where you can mastermind with successful people with your exact business model exist; though extremely rare. I was lucky enough to find that opportunity early on in my internet marketing career and it has helped me more than words can say.

How can you find such a group? Evaluate legitimate home based business opportunities with that question in mind. Ask yourself “Does this allow me to mastermind with successful entrepreneurs and model them?” If the answer is yes, that’s a positive thing (there are definitely more questions!).

So how can you take the most advantage of this network once you are invested in it? That is the key component you need to understand. Once you have this network, ask questions! Ask questions and find someone who is willing to guide you through the process. It’s tough to find someone who is going to actually be concerned with your progress, or results in this industry. Most people want to sell you on some “buy my $20 product and you will get SO rich!” scheme and never talk to you again. I’m here to say, that is not what I would consider a “legitimate home based business opportunity.” We will forget about those schemes for now.

Once you have positioned yourself within a group of caring entrepreneurs, found someone directly responsible for your results, and are taking action, you will notice tremendous results, quickly. Additionally, you need to model what the successful people do! You need to watch them, read what they write, notice what they do, and model that exact behavior. That is crucial! Once you do all of that, you are on your way to becoming one yourself.
