From Hairdresser to Internet Entrepreneur.

Hi,Let me introduce myself. I have been around for 58 yrs and for 35 of those i dedicated to the Hairdressing Industry.I trained with and eventually worked for Vidal Sassoon in London. That initial stint lasted for about 5/6 years.I then moved back up north and opened up my own City Centre salon. I was successful. Howevewr during the latter years i became very frustrated and disillusioned with the business of Hair.It didnt have the same sparkle it once had, and i feel this was due to having to concern myself with (a) Staff and their problems,or sometimes no staff atall ! (b) Tax (c) Rates (d) Rent (e)Accounts,Vat etc .So i decided to do something about it . Having become familiar over the years with the Internet i soon realised that it had become THE Global Marketplace. So i started searching for an online career without actually knowing if such a position existed.I spent a lot of time and money on what turned out to be half truths and promises with people whodidnt come up with the Goods.I signed up with a jobs/careers company who matched them to your CV. After a few weeks i spotted an ad for a career online and BINGO !just what i had been looking for. This is how i was introduced to CARBON COPY PRO. Initially i was attracted to it by the overall professional feel. However my experience told me to Be Cautious ! I had 5 main concerns:

(1) How much would i have to spend in order to set up my business.

(2) Would the training and info turn out to be just half the story.

(3) What is the difference between CCPro and the other companies out there.

(4)Would i be able to earn the same income (if not more)as i was with Hairdressing.

(5)Would i WANT to give up Hair in order to go full time with CCPro.

I need not have worried. Through excellent communication the answers to my concerns flowed freely and my fears were dispelled almost immediately.I would not have to spend piles of money atall, unlike starting a business within bricks and mortar. I also realised there was a massive advantage of having ;No Rent ! No Rates !No Staff ! No Travel ! and therefore no rushing to get to work plus no frustration,in fact there would be exceedingly minimal layout both financially and emotionally.Wow what a formula.! Also if i did miss actually cutting hair (i find it addictive ) i could also have the time to indulge myself in a bit of creativity by selecting some of my long-standing clients and doing their hair in a Mobile context.

I have now been with CCPro for around 6 months and in that time i have been able to exceed my previous income, which did concern me in the initial stages.I have also learned so much about marketing ,the Internet and being an entrepreneur. I find it fascinating. In fact if it all went Belly-up i know i could survive because of the wealth of information i have received from CARBONCOPYPRO. Mmmmm what a comforting thought.!

Re: Who inspired you to start? Re: Who inspired you to start? - Hi Evan, I was inspired by Mr. Bill Gates ever since I was a student learning Computers. But I was motivated for Internet as my Business, when I read his book "The Road Ahead" in 1995. It was in this book that Gates laid out his vision of an interconnected world built around the Internet. Based on the premise that life will be transformed by the convergence of inexpensive computing and inexpensive communications, Gates drew from his experience at the center of the personal computer revolution to give insights on the growth, evolution and impact of technology. I had always looked up to Bill Gates as my idol. When I read this book, it made me more focussed on Microsoft and Internet, The Internet was one of the upcoming things in this time. So I took over to the Internet as my primary business. Regards,

Re: Poll: Which would you live without? TV or Internet? Re: Poll: Which would you live without? TV or Internet? - Hi Evan, I have to admit that I do enjoy TV but mostly for sport or educational programs. However, I can honestly say that since I went on the Internet, it has changed my life forever like it has for everyone around the world. When I say it has changed my life, I don't mean it in a soppy way but just in everyday things like research, booking a holiday, shopping, renewing tax or driving license etc, all of which you can do online and that is before my Internet activities. Therefore I have to say in answer to the question, I would miss the TV but I would miss the Internet much more. regards, Mal.
Re: Has The Recession Hit Your Business? Re: Has The Recession Hit Your Business? - Hi, Yes I think it is only natural that the recession affects all businesses and the Internet is not immune to this. Hopefully enough people will see that the Internet is a way to make money and to offset the problems they are having so we all have to remain positive, regards, Mal.
