Facebook Marketing – The Power of Direct Customer Access

Internet marketing has completely transformed the way organizations look at their business and develop their marketing strategies. In the past few years, there have been many methods explored for feasibility and return on investment. Depending on the target audience for your business, some methods work better than others. However, one thing is certain and that is using just one online marketing method will limit your success. Full faceted plans include search engine optimization and pay per click. In addition to these methods, social bookmarking and using social networks increases online brand awareness. Facebook marketing is gaining more favor in many market segments.

However, only when done right does it garner the intended results. Facebook’s focus was originally intended to help people stay connected to their friends and family. They share information on what’s going on in their lives and become to rely on it as they used to a telephone for instant feedback. To maximize your Facebook marketing strategy, one of the first things you need to do is establish a relationship with new friends. It is after all, a place for socializing. You do this by commenting on their posts, getting to know them through their profiles and finding common ground.

This does not mean that you should go out and build as many friends as you can as quickly as possible. Facebook marketing is a process. Smaller networks are often closer knit and perform beyond expectations. Focus on people in your niche and branch out from there. Positive feedback about your company can spread quickly, but negative comments spread even faster. Make sure you protect your reputation as a worthy resource. Don’t use your friend network to send mass advertisements or spam. It will undo all of your hard work. When commenting on posts, or responding to questions, be yourself.

If you commit to a specific course of action, you need to follow through. One of the fastest ways to lose credibility is to say you’ll do something, and then don’t. Your Facebook friends will respect your integrity and be more likely to give you their business. When you take part in Facebook marketing, it is important to ask for feedback and listen to the responses. These are your current and potential customers. You have direct access to what they like, what they don’t like and what they expect from you. This is far more accurate and rewarding than any report analyzing general trends can be.

Women Entrepreneur Tips Women Entrepreneur Tips - Thank you LeoOliveros, I found #4 particularly true in my case: 4. The Enterprise Must Include the Power of Power Networks. As a conductor of your own enterprise, you can not see yourself as a one-woman-show. You must choose to utilize the power people in your life, by asking for help when you need it, and effectively delegating in order to capitalize on your strengths and that of your power network. When certain experts are not represented in your power network, you must actively seek advisors or mentors and develop a team of specialists, so the benefits are received by everyone involved in the power network - the true Power of Power Networks.

Re: Social Media Marketing - Corporate Vs. Small Business Re: Social Media Marketing - Corporate Vs. Small Business - Hi Jeff, A technique that I consider to be "Social Media Marketing" would be when a brand creates a profile on Facebook and then begins adding people they found in related groups as "friends". For instance, Prince Tennis requested to become friends with me because they saw that I had joined a Facebook group supporting their products. By adding me and other consumers as friends on their Facebook profile, Prince Tennis is able to market directly to its target audience. I've also seen record labels do the same for their music artists.

The Power of Ten The Power of Ten - Do you want to save money and time? Make the most of your marketing efforts? The Power of Ten™ is about taking the concepts of repurposing and leveraging “to the max”. It allows you to innovate and discover new possibilities for any marketing you already have in place. Here’s how it works: Make a list of the most recent 10 marketing items you’ve created or paid to have created. If you don’t have any materials, you can simply list the pieces you plan on creating. Now pick one. It could be an article, ad, poster, anything you have used recently as a marketing tool. Take a fresh look at it. Brainstorm and free write until you find at least 10 different ways to use that piece. You can do this with as many pieces as you want, but for now start with just one. It’s amazing how much time, effort and money you can save using The Power of Ten™. Below is an example using The Power of Ten™ with this very article. Even a very short piece, such as this, can benefit from The Power of Ten™. Here are some ways I can use this tip: 1) It’s part of a new marketing program I’m creating that may be called Marketing Full Circle. 2) It’s on my blog. 3) I can tweet it (knowing that it will show up on LinkedIn and many other sites which display tweets). 4) I can go over to LinkedIn and post it to a group. 5) I can it to my ezine subscribers. 6) I will send it to my clients. 7) If it is a longer article, I can try submitting it to an Article Bank, or two, or three. It started out as part of an answer on Focus.com 9) Eventually it will be part of an eBook on marketing tips. 10) I mention the concept often at speaking engagements.
