Finding Your Niche – Love What You Do
Finding your niche starts by making a list of things you enjoy, things that you are really good at, and applying any of your special skills to your interests. Or perhaps you want to learn something completely new in your life like foreign language translation. Once you have what you feel is a pretty comprehensive list of your best niche possibilities, pick the ones that really stand out and grab you. Do some research on your highest picks and try to determine which one has a good chance of being successful for you and one that you are passionate about.
If your quest for finding your niche is hitting a dead end don't despair. There are many ways you can help yourself find that hidden passion in your life. For example, clarifying your values can go a long way to finding you best niche. If you have certain moral or religious beliefs and you wish to follow these instructions, avoid jobs that are contrary to your conscious. Seek learning opportunities that will give you some real-life experiences so that you can get a grasp on exactly what your true interests are. Talk to friends and trusted relatives for their input.
Making a list of questions for finding your niche is a good way to compile an inventory of your interests that can help you zero in on that elusive niche that will make you feel passionate about. Before writing down this list of questions, take into account your preferences and personality that might affect what types of questions you need answered. Let's say for instance that you value a job that makes it easy for you to go about your work. Or maybe you are concerned about the working conditions like being fast paced or having to work long, irregular hours.
Finding work you enjoy can be hard. Finding your niche is a vital first step in discovering your dream career. Analogous with the fighter pilot that is concentrating on hitting his target, ask yourself if your inner guidance system is on target. Everyone wants certainty and security whether it is emotional or financial. Fear can have a strong hold on us when contemplating change. Fear can have a paralyzing grip on your efforts to identifying you ultimate niche. To make your fears disappear, answer questions that haunt you honestly and make changes in your life that will cause your fears to evaporate.
