Marketing Strategies That Propel Website Traffic – Interactive Marketing Campaigns

There are several marketing strategies that propel website traffic and increase revenues. However, it is important to learn about the best way to utilize these strategies to effectively increase revenue and gain market share. Research the various methods and plan your strategy carefully. Follow through is as important as the methods utilized. Changing your path part way through a campaign will waste time and effort. In the end, nothing will work and you won’t know why. One of the most tried and true methods of driving traffic is Search Engine Optimization. It focuses on well-crafted content and keywords for the search engines.

These methods can be effective, but depend entirely on the search engine spiders to display the most relevant information for your site. With the advancements created by Web 2.0, interactivity encouraged new marketing strategies that propel website traffic. Social bookmarking is a prime example of how search results displayed here can be more effective than using regular search engines. Social bookmarking sites allow users to create a list of web sites they like, and use tags for keywords and descriptions. These are used in much the same way regular bookmarks on individual computers are created. The advantage is that the individual pages are public.

This allows users to search by relevant terms and receive a list of sites that other like-minded users find useful. As a result, the visitors to your site are better qualified and are looking specifically for the products and services that you offer. Other social media networks, such as Facebook and Twitter are also being used in marketing strategies that propel website traffic. These strategies rely on making connections and maintaining relationships with customers. By learning to listen to the customer and understand their needs, organizations are better able to provide the products and services their customers want.

These relationships take some time to build and require ongoing attention. However, one of the reasons these marketing strategies that propel website traffic are so appealing, is that they are very often free. The biggest investment is time. Creating focused profiles and developing an online persona should be done carefully, keeping in mind the perception you wish to perpetuate. Once the relationship is built, it must be maintained. Respect for the customer is shown by follow through and actively listening to their feedback. This builds the trust and respect of the customer. When that is attained website traffic is augmented, revenue increases and market share is positively affected.

In the past, there's been some interest voiced about adding a "Social Media Marketing", "Online Marketing", "Internet Marketing" or "Online Promotion" category. I'll implement [u:1g2tv6tf]ONE[/u:1g2tv6tf] of those new categories, but can someone first tell me what the difference would be between the existing "Marketing" section and one of those new options mentioned above? Thanks
