Business Marketing Ideas for Entreprenuer Beginners
Business Marketing Ideas for Entreprenuer Beginners

This is one of the fastest, easiest ways to drive targeted traffic to your website. You can write articles targeted at anything you like. The only question you need to answer is: Who do I want viewing my website? This will determine the content of your article. Here is a quick example: If you own an online flower shop you would write a how-to article about buying and caring for flowers. This will grab the attention of people who are thinking about potentially buying flowers and would like some more information on where to buy them, how much they generally cost and what is the best way to care for them. Your main goal here is to write something that will grab the attention of your target audience and will benefit them in some way. If you do this, inevitably they will go to your website to read the article thereby attracting the “right” people to your website.

Social Media Websites (low-cost or free)

Social media is an effective tool if used carefully and correctly. To be effective you should be targeting people in groups related to the scope of your website. For example: If you own an online business related to financial wellbeing, then you could search for people in financial groups and add them to your friends list. You will then use your profile to do the talking for you and direct traffic to your website. Beware, if you send too many friend requests in one day your account may get suspended or deleted for spam. Now be cautious of taking this too far and adding every person you may find. In the time you spend searching, you are wasting precious time that could better be used for writing articles or building your business in some other manner. You want to target and filter potential customers to make best use of your time.

Forum Marketing (low-cost or free)

Forum marketing can be quite effective if you are diligent and post relevant topics frequently. I find that this is the best form of marketing to "target" traffic. All you have to do is add your Name, Company Info, and website into your forum signature and voila!...you are ready to start posting and replying. Now it’s time to start looking for forums that relate to your business and reply to the posts that are relevant to you and your website. Remember to keep your posts on topic and meaningful otherwise you run a high risk of being banned from that forum.

Video Marketing (low-cost or free)

This powerful method of marketing should not be overlooked. Everyone enjoys watching video content and you as a marketer/entrepreneur should be eager to capitalize on this opportunity. You can post anything about anything whether it is about your home based business, a how-to video or even success story to drive people towards your website. The options are endless! Why is video marketing so effective? It builds a certain bond, or trust with your potential traffic that a computer screen with a bunch of writing on it simply cannot. People are more receptive to something more personal and someone they can see over text and pictures. People, in relation to business, like things they can see and feel. This method can drive hundreds of potential hits to your websites and increase your conversions dramatically.

Par-Per-Click (low-high cost)
This is one of the most common forms of paid advertising. You pay when someone clicks on your advertisement. I would highly recommend staying away from PPC ad campaigns if you are new to the internet marketing business. I have seen newbies burn up hundreds of dollars in a few days and see ZERO return. So unless you know what you’re doing, Stay Away!
Blogging (free)
Blogging is a very useful tool because you can publish content whenever you want with little or no technical experience, all you need to know how to do is type. There are many platforms out there such as Blogger, Wordpress and many more. So just google blogs and you can take your pick. Blogs are beneficial in that the content (text) of your blog can show up in search engines so make sure to include keywords in your blog that will capture that extra traffic.
