Every home based MLM business opportunity will reckon they are the best and many get conned into joining the less superior opportunities through clever marketing and landing pages.

Before you get into any home based MLM business opportunity you need to ask yourself 2 important questions:

• Can I do it?
• What support will I get?

Let's assume you've answered the 1^st question in a positive manner. The next question is what support will I get? This is critical. It is the number one reason why 97 per cent of people fail in home based MLM businesses.

Without support you are going to be dead in the water. The only thing that is going to make you successful in any home based MLM business is generating leads and lots of them. To do that you need a fully automated lead generation system that comes with the business and full support on how to implement it.

So many MLM business opportunities come with standard website landing pages which basically promote the product or opportunity they are selling and you get to add your own photo, video or audio to it and off you go with a big adwords campaign hoping to drive traffic to your website. If you do this you'll end up broke. I know because I tried it when I first started my own online business.

The only way to succeed is to market yourself and not the business opportunity you are selling. That's why so many people fail in this industry because they fail to grasp this concept. And that's what you will need help with. You need help to market yourself. Prospective leads are initially not looking for the opportunity - they are looking for someone to lead them and show them the way. Their knowledge and understanding of the business opportunity comes after they have established a relationship with you and that's what most home based MLM business opportunities fail to recognise.

So, if you want to find the best home based MLM business opportunity you need a business that teaches you how to market yourself with online training, instructions and templates in areas like:

• Web 2.0, personal branding and attraction marketing principles.
• How to setup and use(market) social media websites like Myspace, Facebook, Twitter and Squidoo.
• How to set up and use your own blog.
• How to write press releases, articles (like this one), make blog posts, contribute to forums, producing videos and designing your own webpage

If you get this part right you will be on the path to success by developing your own brand and reputation. There is only one You, which makes you unique. People need to trust you and that's why the personal branding side to any business is critical. Ignore this and you'll commit marketing suicide and end up with the 97 percent of people who fail.

Of course, the business opportunity itself is also important and I recommend you give preference to a home based MLM business opportunity which sells information (ebooks, software etc.), education or both and not a business which sells a physical product. Why? The internet is already full of people selling every kind of miracle juice, soap or new product. You need a business which has both low end products (to introduce the lead) and high end products (to make a profit). Information and education are the most valuable commodities on the internet because people are constantly searching for them and both provide the opportunity to sell low and high end products.

Finding the best home based MLM business opportunity is all about finding the best business that can market yourself.
