Are you frustrated by all the garbage on the internet and outrageous claims of becoming rich overnight? Perhaps you're looking to find some legitimate way to earn a decent income because you've just lost your job or you want to get out of the 9-5 rut you've been in for so long? It is possible to find a legitimate online self employed business opportunity that can provide you with an income to change your lifestyle but how do you sift through the garbage and scams to find the good ones?

The answer is research and knowing what to look for and what to avoid.

Don't get hooked on any website that tries to entice you with outrageous claims of income or becoming rich overnight. Remember the adage "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is"

The main points when looking for an online business opportunity are:

• Product - What are they selling? You need to choose a product or service that is unique and provides people with a benefit. The best areas to look at are in the fields of information or education. The latest internet usage statistics show there are over 1.6 billion people using the internet and most of them looking for information.

• Marketing System - If you are going to start any online business then you will need a marketing system. A system that can be fully automated and generate leads either through the organic search engines or paid advertising options.

• Reputation - Does the company have a good reputation? Are there any reported scams listed against the company? Who are the founders? Check out their credentials. If you can't find any details on the founders then avoid it.

• Support - Check out what support systems they have in place. If you're about to embark on a new business you will need help. You will need to know how to market your business, how to brand your self and how to generate leads. Don't assume that any business you get into will do this. This is one of the most important aspects of a successful online business. The majority of people who fail in online businesses do so because the business did not provide the support (information and education).

If you adopt the above approach to your research then you will be on the right track to finding the right business. Starting a new business is never easy and there are no legitimate get rich quick schemes, so don't complicate it by being lured into any.

Stick to the principles for researching an online business above and you won't go wrong.

You can see my Bank statement......... - Hi there, Today we are bombarded with 'Business Opportunities' by the multitude. I believe it is possible to earn a lot through the internet, but it is hard work. Nobody gets it very easy on a long term basis. [b][b]How much notice do people take[/b], [/b]when the Bank Statements are shown as means of 'how credible' their business idea is? Are they always totally true? They look authentic. The whole industry is growing rapidly. What is your experience? Is there any regulation in presenting the 'Bank Statement' or other statements from 'Click Bank' etc ?
