The Groovy Mermaid Reveals How She Found The Best Home-Based Business Opportunity

Hi, my name is Jewels and I am a Business Owner, Published Author, Entrepreneur, and Aquatic Specialist. When I began my search for the best home-based business opportunities, I was overwhelmed with how many options there are available. After sifting thru the junk and illegitimate prospects, I am sure that I have found The Best home-based business opportunity. Now, I am looking to reach out, and give back to other newbie entrepreneurs who may be looking for more reasons and justification why they SHOULD start their own business. I was fortunate enough to make some good decisions along the way, and I would like to motivate and inspire others to start working for themselves, get educated, be their own boss, and launch their own home-based business.

Along with the rest of my brothers and sisters, when I was 2 I learned to swim in Mr. Boone’s backyard pool. Since I grew up in Colorado, we always swam at the pool. We were those kids who waited out the thunderstorm, who were the first ones in after adult swim, and who stayed until the lifeguard said, “Pool’s closed.” Eventually, those became my words as I took my first job at age 16 lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons. It was no coincidence that it happened to be at the pool where one of my sisters was doing the same.

It did not take long for me to figure out; the water was the way for me to go not only as recreation and sport, but for my profession as well. Eventually I became a certified Swim and Water Fitness Instructor, SCUBA/snorkel Instructor, and member of the US Freediving Team. I worked as an Educator at the aquarium when it first opened in Denver 1999, and I subsequently made the Aquatics Industry my professional home. Because I enjoyed so much and was passionate about what I was doing, I thought I was living out my intended career path.

As I grew older, I was not exactly financially abundant, but I felt so fortunate and was very grateful to have my professional career so closely intertwined with what I love to do. Still; I wanted more. I did not want to be scraping by anymore; I did not want to have a constant eye on my budget, or long for quality items that were just outside my price range. I did not want to put trips on credit cards, or feel trapped in a work schedule that kept me from taking time to experience the thrills of life and travel. I did not want to be forced to admire a better lifestyle from the outside looking in. I wanted to live my own dream lifestyle by MY design instead of trading time for (not enough) money or simply providing a service for those who had a lot more money than me.

I was a hard working, reliable, and responsible employee in the Aquatics Industry. But even with a full-time job, I always had the entrepreneur side of me hustling up extra cash thru private swim lessons, SCUBA lessons, or water fitness instruction. Essentially, all of my income was as a result of me trading my time, expertise, and services. I was tired of exceeding my job expectations without seeing the financial benefit of my actions, and I wanted the freedom to create my own schedule. Not only that, I wanted to have the financial ability to get to the places that I want to go. To do the the things I want to do. It was time I worked that hard and put so much effort into my OWN bottom line. It was time for me to Become my own boss.

As I began to research other income opportunities, I decided I wanted it to be Internet-based so I could be anywhere in the world with a connection, and still get some work done. Once I sifted thru all the scams and junk information out there; I found excellent materials, resources, information, and an awesome community of support. I purchased a "Business-In-A-Box", and since then I have received a wealth of information, such a solid education, have set up my own business, launched marketing campaigns, and all the while making educated and informed decisions.

I am so excited and feel so grateful to have had the chance to start a whole new way of earning an income. I really have found the best home-based business opportunity, and I feel as if there is a responsibility to share it with others....to get everyone educated and "in the swim." I realize there IS an alternative to working for someone else. Work for YOURSELF. Invest in YOURSELF. Educate YOURSELF. You will be amazed at the opportunities that come your way. When you work for yourself, your hard work, consistency, and persistence will pay off in the end~in more ways than financial to be sure.

You will want to get yourself prepared as you embark on the beginnings of your own home-based business, and it may seem overwhelming at first. By having a system that works, a support community, a great set of tools, and the right information; you can get to work on piecing together your own home business, and focus on creating a lifestyle designed by YOU. It has worked for me, and I am here to tell you; it can work for you too. Go For It!

Re: How do you get guest bloggers? Re: How do you get guest bloggers? - Thanks for the tips Shri and Groovy Entrepreneur! I will definitely let my friend know. [quote="Groovy Entrepreneur":1c4k84xt]To have a guest blogger on your blog, you can: 1.) Write a post on your blog, seeking guest bloggers 2.) Let your blogging friends know (send them an email) 3.) Place a free ad in Craigslist 4.) Ask bloggers you know, and are in your niche 5.) Send a bulletin to your social networks There are other ways, these are but a few. Also you could simply create a page on your site dedicated solely to recruiting Guest Bloggers. Hope this helps in your efforts. Fed rate cuts . . . Fed rate cuts . . . - So just what do the newest Fed rate cuts mean to Franchise and Business Opportunity investing? Is it immediately felt? What timeframe do you think, or rather, where are we in terms of new vs. existing business investment? A similar question can be composed for the economic stimulus checks - will they a have any effect if consumers spend a little $$

There are other people to contact, but people within your niche can be very useful - and they can provide a service or product that is compatible, without being the same product you offer. Authors are by far the best people I've dealt with about promoting other people with a similar product. Could be because we are all working so hard to make the small royalties we get - gotta help each other. Shri
