Attracting Targeted Website Visitors

That's the importance of attracting ‘targeted visitors' to your offers. Suppose you're marketing weight loss products. You certainly don't want to advertise your offers to people who aren't looking to lose weight.

So, in this example, you have a website that promotes products or services that help people lose weight. The types of people you want to ‘target' are people who are likely unhappy with their weight and want to find a way to easily drop some pounds. Therefore, in designing your marketing campaigns and ads, you would not advertise in places that attract, for example, video gamers or gardeners. Sure, there's always a chance you'll find someone in another target market that may be interested in your offer, but because the ad is not in its target market, it's unlikely that you're going to convert anyone here into a paying customer.

This is the concept of a ‘targeted visitor' - a person who is already interested in your website's topic before they find your site and see the products and services you offer.

In addition, search engine results for your keywords will contain links to your targeted ads, articles, videos, press releases, etc, in addition to your website. So your marketing campaigns should include all of the above (articles, videos, etc), rich with your targeted keywords, all pointing back to your website.

Type a generic search term or phrase into Google. Chances are that you'll see many sites like YouTube, Squidoo, PR Web, and EzineArticles. Make sure that your marketing efforts include content that you've created and submitted to such sites.

To make sure you're driving the greatest number of targeted visitors to your website as possible, you first need to create a site in which each page is focused on the particular keyword terms and phrases that you'll identify. Second, you'll support this by creating promotional materials (again, using the relevant keyword terms and phrases), and making sure these are properly distributed on the internet (YouTube, EzineArticles, etc).

One of the fastest ways to get ranked in the search engines and start attracting targeted visitors is external linking. That simply means using sites that are already high-ranking in the search engines to post links back to your website. Some of the most effective sites on which to post your links are article marketing sites such as EzineArticles, video sites like YouTube, and social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. These sites already have a high-ranking and are respected by the search engines so when you post ads with links back to your website on these high-ranking sites the search engines consider each link to be like a 'popularity vote' for your site. The more votes, the more popular your site is in the eyes of the search engines, and the higher your site is likely to rank.

Re: Has anyone bought targetted visitors? - Most "Targeted Visitors" do not look for your site or intend on going to it. Most of the vsisits are generated through popups and popunders. Some of the targeted visitor sites allow you to create an online add that people can click and go to your site but I have never heard of anyone getting so much as a newsletter signup from them. I think it would be more productive to take the money you would spend on guaranteed visitors, guaranteed signups, buying leads etc. and use it to advertise on some of the higher page rank websites related to your industry.
