Discovering Your Potential for Success

Discovering Your Potential for Success

"Freedom means you are unobstructed in living your life as you choose. Anything less is a form of slavery." -Wayne Dyer I usually take a 20-30 minute daily walk...trying to keep my slim, healthy physique (ha) and part of my usual route goes through a local office plaza.

As a former corporate indentured servant, I look at the full parking lots in this office plaza and think of the thousands of people trapped inside these office buildings. Trapped in a life that they did not envision for themselves. Trapped into obeying every whim of a boss that often doesn't know as much as the employees.

Dr. Wayne Dyer said that "Freedom means you are unobstructed in living your life as you choose." Sadly, though, too many of us are obstructed from living the lives that we choose...but obstructed by what?

Many believe that they are obstructed by their boss, or their bills, or their meager paycheck. Some think that they are obstructed by their lack of education or their past. But the truth is that most often the obstruction lies within the individual. We are obstructed by ourselves! Obstructed by our ignorance of how to attain a better life; obstructed by our complacency and contentment to live with the status quo; obstructed by our lack of willingness to put in the work required to live life as we choose.

The secret is that everything you need to succeed is already inside of you! Each one of us already has what it takes to live life on our own terms...we just need to be taught how to tap into that potential.

Maybe you didn't realize that already have what it takes. Maybe you've been told that you have everything you need to succeed, but you just don't know how to reach your untapped potential. Maybe you already know what it takes, but just haven't reached the point of commitment to take yourself to a higher place.

You've always known that you were meant for something bigger. You feel trapped and out of place in your prison...I mean job. You have a sleeping entrepreneur inside of you. Re: Cold Calling - In my experience the problem with hiring cold callers is that many of the successful candidates already realize that they have a talent for sales and are already working for themselves. Most of the candidates that would take a job cold calling most likely do not have solid selling or client service skills. I used to work for a brokerage firm in Victoria and we hired co-op students to cold call. In my opinion that was a mistake. Potential clients can sense inexperience very quickly and without a seasoned cold caller on your team prospecting will be very challenging.....the key is to find someone with skills that isn't already doing there own selling....tricky.
