Article Marketing can generate huge amounts of web traffic for your business, if done properly. Here are a few things that will help you write high quality, traffic generating articles: • You must submit articles that are relevant to your offer/opportunity. If you're primary business is selling weight loss products, don't submit articles about dog training or some other unrelated topic. Some marketers will submit hundreds of unrelated articles simply for ‘volume'. However the purpose of article marketing for your business is to position yourself as an authority in your market. Submitting hundreds of articles that are not related to your niche only dilutes your efforts and does not help develop your role as ‘the guy/gal to listen to'.

• Your articles should be timeless. Articles can serve as valid ads for your business for years and years, because once they're submitted they're out there forever. With this in mind, write your articles in such a way that the impact will be the same a few years from now as it is today. Try not to relate your articles to trends or current events that could be irrelevant a few years from now.

• Keep up to date with your market and your niche. Stay in touch with what's happening in the world with regard to your particular line of business so that you can continue to produce fresh, cutting edge content.

• Make your articles ‘viral'. This means allowing other people to publish your content as long as nothing is changed and you are given credit for it. An example of how to make your articles viral is to compile some of your articles into an eBook and giving it away as a free report or bonus on your website.

• Keep your articles short and to the point. Don't try to write a lot of words just for the sake of having a longer article. Make sure that you get to the point quickly so that your readers don't get bored before you get to the purpose of the article.

• Post your articles to your own blog or website and make use of RSS feeds. RSS feeds are covered more in depth in a separate article.

If you want to use article marketing to promote your business but you're just a terrible writer and it's not a skill you care to develop, no worries. There are plenty of people online you can outsource your article writing to. Some charge by the word, some charge by the hour, but you should have no trouble finding someone to write some articles for you if you lack the talent or time but have the money to pay someone else.

Remember these tips and put them into practice in your own article marketing and you'll soon start to see more traffic to your websites and offers coming directly from your articles.
